High five! Yes, what Obama and Biden could use is a Sandy Berglar. If he’s not available, maybe call Reality Winner and tell her to bring extra pantyhose.
Last I heard (Birx/Fauci) it’s not officially known whether recovery confers immunity. I’m 99% sure it does, but the stage is set for continuing to take rights away from recovered patients.
> What song was it? [with "sjist" sung in place of "let's just"]
It was her original tune -- she was recording a demo of it. It was a slow song and there was plenty of time to sing all the words. Once she realized what she was doing, she was only too happy to sing it the way she wrote it.
We had a singer come in to record and she kept singing "sjist" instead of "let's just". It took a few times to even get her to hear what she was doing. Then it took even longer for her to force herself to sing the real words.
The greatest example I've ever heard of this was the voice of a black man at the end of a commercial saying "sum-tak-m-bout" ("That's what I'm talking about"). Now that's linguistic efficiency!
The revolutionary war was fought over "taxation without representation". Now we have the opposite, which is equally immoral: "representation without taxation". If people who don't chip in anything get to vote money away from those who do, we're doomed once they outnumber us, and it's close to that today.
On Rush's show once I heard a caller, who was a professor, give a great illustration of this in his class. He would take a purse from one of the students and hold it up in the air, saying, "Let's have a vote on what to do with the money in this purse." The two choices were to distribute it equally among everyone in the class, or to give it back to the rightful owner. This, he explained, was one reason why our government isn't a simple democracy.
I like to also add that "Free Barrabus" was democracy in action.
