Next time shop at Town Square in Southlake. It's worth the extra drive to avoid the freaks and thugs (present especially on the weekends) at Parks Mall. Plus, you can park outside of the store you want to shop in and walk in a pleasant, park-like, ADULT atmosphere.

Sweet. I love Dillards and Foleys. man, Cedar Hill is booming. I lived in Desoto
for 10 years, what a joke. The local mafia or good ole boys want to keep it a small town. Compared to the growth Cedar hill has had it basiclly going backwards over there.

I live in Cedar Hill also and have shopped at the Parks since it opened. If you don't notice this, then your just not paying attention. My daughter will not even go there anymore because of all this. Where is the new mall going to be? 80,000 square feet is a very small area, I don't think it would even hold a Dillards. Did you mean 800,000?

WOW!!! I read your story...Amazing. I am sure their alot of responsible Pit owners. I have a friend who has one that is very sweet. Here in Texas you do see a lot of Trailer Trash and unsavory folks that have them and don't take proper care. Good point about the government deciding for us. I know that over the years of raising my Princess daughter. Large dogs roaming free in the neighborhood are a parents nightmare. Anyone involved in any tragedy, be it a drunk driver killing a child or a dog mauling your child it does make you very angry at the system that is broke. Not sure what the answer is but I think free people have the right to make decisions for the common good. It's fundamental to our Republic. I understand the love you have for your dog. I have had dogs all of my life. I had German Shepards most of my life and in the 4 plus decades of my memory, nothing comes close to the epidemic of Pit Bull maulings we hear about weekly. I don't buy in to the MSM conspiracy, because you hear way too much by word of mouth. It's like cancer almost.

Exactly. So one personal experience combined with shoddy media reports are enough for most ignorant folks out there to make an "informed" opinion, despite the droves of experts that disagree with them.

No offense taken. Yes, I go off the deep end BIG TIME when my daughter's
life is threatened. I hope you and yours never have to suffer through what she went through, and myself as her father had to go through knowing it was a near miss from a vicious animal. I do have a friend that has a Pit that is very
sweet, but I was always a little leary around her. When it's not just a story you read on the Internet about a mauling or a killing and it's your precious baby girl it changes your perspective in a big way.

But, you can delude yourself if you wish. No matter how much evidence is offered that these are dangerous animals, men with small appendages, drug dealers, and those with inferiority complexes will continue to breed and keep these dogs. Unfortunately, a pit in a shelter is almost guaranteed to be put down, as normal people won't have anything to do with these ticking time bombs.


YUP...this describes the typical Pit owner. Decent folks need to get involved in local politics and have these evil creatures banned everywhere.

Agreed! They should be banned everywhere. I have read about these attacks
with more regularity as the years go by. It was my bad luck to have it happened to someone in my family last week. My daughter who is away at college was walking her ShiTzu and a Pit Bull came out of nowhere and attacked her dog.
She reacted as many of us would, foolishly. She grabbed the Pit Bull by it's chain collar risking her own life and tried to choke the dog down. She is a small 4'11" very strong little girl and fought for her precious dogs life. The Pit Bull would not let go of her dog and luckily a good Samaritan from across the street witnessed the attack. He picked up the Pit Bull, with the ShiTzu in it's jaws and body slammed it to the ground. Still it would not let go. As they both struggled, choking, punching this evil creature she heard it finally gasping for air. With her hands bloodied from the chain she found additional strength from it's gasping to wrench it up off the ground and twist harder and finally choked it enough for it to let go. The helper kicked it in the head and grabbed his collar. Animal control was called and removed the beast and said it would be put down immediately.
As a parent hundreds of miles away from my precious daughter having to here her recant this story to me over the phone, it scared me to death realizing that she was at serious risk of her own life. She was severely traumatized mentally by the event and still has trouble telling the story.
The defenders of this breed have nothing but ridiculous arguments. The breed was developed for fighting. They need to be be banned everywhere.

We have a woman at work that hums and whistles non stop. I don't have to be around her all the time but a fair amount of people do. I don't know how they keep their sanity. If i am around her more than 2 or 3 minutes I am ready to go postal. What is the matter with people like this?????

This is the real problem.....Israel has an estimated 300 nukes. Once the genie
is out of the bottle over there, oil becomes very scarce due to the nuclear war that will break out there. If we are extremely lucky the nutjobs will not be able to smuggle one into a harbor here in America and set it off. I think the chances of this are very high anyway you look at it. We need a Manhattan style program to get us off of oil ASAP. As long as we are in the middle east these pshycos have all the logic they need to get the nukes and use them on us. If we don't need their oil it changes the long term equation. Will the moderate moozies then realize they need to step it up or will they be swallowed by the evil beast and the entire middle east reverts to the 7th century? I say who cares and good riddance. Russia, India, and China then become the next logical target for these wack jobs. Maybe then they will behave as our allies???
