I first saw O'Neill a couple of months ago on CSPAN's Washington Journal. When asked by an angry Kerry supporter why he waited until Kerry had sewn up the nomination, he politely replied that he been incapacitated until that point in time due to donating one of his kidneys to his wife.
Speaking abilities don't anoint a candidate. Many people who have "heard" Keyes have been downright turned off.
Will he reside in Illinois after the election? If he makes that promise, I'll campaign for the guy!!!! If not, he's the political opportunist so many have called him.
And do you think Keyes will just disappear from the American stage if he loses this election? He'll probably increase his speaking engagements for more $ than before
Cam, I've met you and genuinely like and respect you. But this Keyes thing is over the edge.
I voted for Keyes in the'96 primary, and have sent him financial donations in the past. In 2000, I followed up on some research I was sent, and now believe Alan Keyes is, at best, an opportunist. There are some things about how he used donations sent to him that don't add up, and I will share that with you here, if that is what you want.
