What purpose is banning this suppose to serve? Isn't voicing their opinion and other signs and symbols just as intimidating? They can put a big sign on their lawn saying "I hate black people". makes no sense. Banning it won't change peoples inner thoughts.

I agree and I think the DA is going to go full steam ahead on the sexual assault charges. I don't think this is a slam dunk case. I can just imagine it now the defense will bring up all the pictures and witnesses sighting Elizabeth around town with the Mitchells. Plus they will have to put on a convincing case with brainwashing experts. Coupled with a few people on the jury that weren't following the case in the media or a few O.J. jury psychos and reasonable doubt. The defense will paint this as two cult members who led astray a young girl into their beliefs so no real harm was done and there could be some nut on the jury who would believe it.

Also as far as Eliz being pregnant I think that would depend on if she even got her first period or not which noone knows. I didn't get mine until I was older than she was.

I haven't heard souces say said she went willingly. The only statements I think the police said was that she denied being Elizabeth Smart which was probably rehearsed statement between her and her captors of what she would say if she was ever asked or face the consequences later. Who knows they may have tortured the girl.

yeah I agree if elizabeth and this whacko really wanted to run off with eachother a more logical scenario would've been to say, "now elizabeth after school you walk over to 57 th street and I will be waiting for you and we will take it from there." Do illegal workers get paid minimum wage? I thought employers in the U.S. are required to pay minimum wage. Why do politicians get up in arms over sweat shops and little kids and women working too many hours underpaid? Why aren't companies employers fined/jailed etc. for using these people? I don't get it, why don't they have to make their business successful by paying minimum wage just like every other business has to. I'm confused as to what is going on. I thought these were laws or maybe I'm mistaken.

This proves my theory once and for all. Many women lack self worth and this results in having way too low standards. They date men that are way too old/homely and on top of that are obnoxious creeps. C'mon Demi you can do better than the cabbage patch president. Women all over the United States need to have their eyes checked or actually take classes to learn what gorgeous men actually look like.

I had the same reaction to the story. It sounds faker than fake. You mean to tell me a girl who fought off nurses, abortionsists, her mother and evil father all in one day would allow some scumbag rape her repeatedly for years and not fight for herself but she wants to fight for her evil father's unborn baby. I think Home Depot banned smoking a long time ago. They also have the smoking cessation classes.

Lowes is simply doing what has worked for many other big companies by saving money anywhere it can. It is simply profitable to do so. Smoking isn't really a need, but smokers want to smoke at work. So smoking (which is a want, not a need) creates too many extra inconveniences for employers. Creating special privledges for smokers is too much added expense. Lower insurance premiums for fire and life, lower ventilation costs, increased productivity from employees, lower work loss days, lower maintenance and repair costs, and higher productivity when smoking is prohibited in the workplace, plus they're avoiding frivolous lawsuits from non smoking employees which will result in settlements to avoid going to court and on and on and on.

I don't know many companies that allow smoking anymore.

Tell her the top models in the country don't go around with tongue rings or marking up the beautiful human form making it look asymmetrical with cheesy tattoos. Porn women, women in nude layouts, unsophisticated teens and dirt poor prostitutes get these types of things. If she thinks it's cool to be one of the sheep in that category, then by all means.

Tell her the trend is over and has officially teetered into the uncool category. It's so 90's, so why waste the money? Getting these trendy things to be cool makes anyone look like they're trying too hard and that just isn't cool. If she wants to look independant then not getting trendy fads and not following the sheep is the way to go.

I think CBS is okay for airing this. It used to be shown on the E channel all the time. When will CBS and other networks show hot young male top supermodels like Marcus Schenkenberg, Travis Fimmel, lean Calvin Klein models, boxers and briefs show. A show that features bare buns, and shows off their lower regions assets or lack thereof. Or maybe use celebrities like George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Ben Affleck and for the younger crowd N'Sync and the Backstreet Boys etc. They should show it on another channel during the Superbowl so women can salivate on another tv set.

Or networks should make a show instead of the Man Show called the Woman show and it would attract a lot female talk show and soap viewers during daytime tv.

If I were in charge of a network I would show this sort of thing everyweek and the ratings would go through the roof. They should make an entire cable channel based on hot male supermodels.

If I were one of those twins I would be pretty pissed off that my mother decided to have me after my father died. I would never be able to know my father! That is just too weird and obsessive. I think the woman needs professional help to deal with death.

I wish all men like Tom Lykus had a show like him. That way all women would know which men to avoid. Yes when I college, this was during the Clinton years, many of the girls on my dorm floor were "liberated" and felt they needed to be these "macho girls". They used men as boy-toys or acted like the girl's on GIRLS GONE WILD or something. They loved the sexual attention they got from men. They also thought it was cool to cheat with other girl's boyfriends and get them into bed. But at the end of the day I know these girls were mostly big liars. They would usually say they didn't really care about this guy or that guy, but usually this was after the fact (when the guy's didn't call them back after sleeping with these girls). They liked to talk a big game but they really wouldn't be able to hold it together or mask their true feelings for long. You could hear them crying about this guy or that guy in their rooms at night. And word would get around from roommates about how they were dumped yet again. It was really sad how they made themselves look so foolish. I do think women have a lot of pressure to sleep with men right away because they think that if they don't there are 1873873643 other girls who will nowadays.

I even had one girl say to me after she had a one night stand, "I don't understand why he didn't call me? I thought we really clicked". Yes women are very naive about the way men can be and just because the world has changed doesn't mean men's attitudes will change.

What is the 60-40 custody arrangement bad? The child has to live somewhere in a somewhat stable environment. Is the child being abused or is the mother a mess(drug addict) in some way?
