Try the Mozilla browser at www.mozilla.org
It is free and contains built-in pop-up zapping with an exceptions list, so you can zap all pop-up except the ones you want, like weeklystandard, your online bank, etc.
Whenever a pop-up is zapped, it can be configured to pay a sound, or place a little system icon in the lower right corner of the browser... very nice.

I already cancelled my subscription to HBO after seeing Bill Maher's new show. On its premier episode, they were talking about the designs for the WTC memorial building. He actually suggested that the top floor of this soaring memorial should dedicated to a meuseum on "why they hate us"...
HBO cancelled Dennis Miller's show to replace it with this garbage... Can you believe it?

Doubt this will help, but here's the text of an email I sent to "persuadable" democrats. (graham, edwards, kerry, both arkansas senators, etc). Perhaps others can join and we can pile on a bit...
Dear "Persuadable Senator",
I was disappointed by yourcloture vote against Miguel Estrada today.
Just like FDR's abortive attempt to "pack the supreme court" with 13 judges was an unconstitutional power grab that alienated many in his own party, your support to "up the ante" for Senate confirmation of judges from 51 to 60 votes is similarly disgraceful.
It's unconstitutional, pure and simple.
Listen, I can't do much here. Im not a big donor, I don't have a big organization, I don't picket or protest much, heck, I don't even live in your state. But please, think about this. What you do here, in this life, on this stage, on issues like this, sets a precedent for the next 200 years or more. It matters. Judges come and go, but the country and its traditions and rules for fair play should remain.
Please, do the right thing. Put your country first, vote against Miguel Estrada if you want, but dont prevent an honest majority from casting their votes as well.
