THERE IS NO NURSING SHORTAGE!
There are plenty of nurses but they have mostly moved to other fields because of the way they are treated, monitarily and professionally, by the medical system.
Dish has NFL Network in it's 2nd from top package. Directv has it in their biggest package. But since Dish is not listed, that may change after "negotiations".
It all depends on what she is looking for. All along that side of the hills is one city after another. Danville is one of the most expensive. Walnut Creek is the largest and probably would have the widest price range choice.
To the north of Walnut Creek are cities on the bay that are considerably cheaper than those on the bay west of San Ramon. Just south of San Ramon is Pleasonton which is a larger town and cheaper than Danville. The farther you go inland, the cheaper it gets.
During peak hours, the traffic is terrible in all directions.
Jindal lost to Landrieu(sp?)in the last senate election. Landrieu moved ahead in the polls in the last few weeks when she ran "tough on terrorists" ads which were her voice over a picture of the dark skinned Jindal (Indian). Friend in LA told me he had many people tell him they were not about to vote for a terrorist.
But, IMHO, as the article says, does less than twice the Ms population justify 7 times the funds?
My guess is the housing loss on the MS coast was worse than in the NO area and the La coast. I am not in any way minimizing the damage to La. just having a hard time with the 7x figure.
Biggest fine I've ever heard of was a few thousand which is insignificant. To stop illegals, the jobs have to be cut off. The only way to stop the demand is make fines high enough to scare employers.
Say a $50,000 fine for each worker who has not been cleared with the social security verification already in place.
Would not take too many raids that gather 100 aliens for a 5,000,000 fine to stop it.
Better yet, a 100,000 fine.
Anything else is just a bone thrown to the clamoring electorate.
