  • JERRY ORBACH [Lenny on Law & Order] DEAD AT 69

I almost forgot Crimes & Misdemeanors. It's the only Woody Allen movie that I still own. He was so subtle in that. He was so quietly a member of that class of actors that truly acted and were (are) stars in spite of putting the story before their own ego.

I once caught an episode of Jeopardy! that was some sort of celebrity episode. Orbach was competing against a couple of others that have since disappeared down the memory hole. In any event, Orbach absolutely destroyed the other two. He was fantastically informed, articulate and polite as can be. All the winnings went to a charity of some sort. He was quite impressive and, of course, enjoyable as Briscoe.

Yes. It does always "seem" to be Rottweilers and Pit Bulls. SUVs always "seem" to be killing people by the dozens. Let's not forget guns.
Hogwash indeed. Yes, I had a Rottweiler. Yes, he was stoic, gentle and patient. It was his temperament, his empathy but (now pay attention) it was his TRAINING that cultivated those traits.
These are powerful animals. They are not for just anyone. They are not inherently dangerous. The dogs in the above story were. But notice how the reporter had to insinuate that there had to be a "Rottweiler-mix" involved? What dog attack story is complete without Rotties or a Pit Bull? Just as every car accident story involves an SUV.
"Next there will posts..." Don't like the responses? Yes you do. You wouldn't write what you wrote if you didn't.

Bodansky penned a book on UBL that did very well after 9/11. He's also appeared on Fox several times. His facts always sound reasonable. However, his predictive conclusions NEVER pan out. I've yet to see any of Bodansky's projections materialize. Whether his predictions are acted upon by the feds or he's perpetually incorrect, I'll never know. He just seems a bit off his rocker.

I try not to revel in the misery of others. That notwithstanding, I could scarcely contain my glee on election night. Whine Williams was more deflated and crestfallen than UBL in his last-ditch ad for Kerry. It was then that I was certain, the election was in the bag.
Williams is a tremendous barometer. The more hysterical Whine becomes, the closer to victory are we. He has so little self-control. Watch him with discrete (albeit smug) satisfaction.

No sensible person could believe anything an Al Qaeda terrorist says. These people are aparty to a worldwide conspiracy to kill and terrorize civilians. Therefore, they've placed themselves beyond any consideration allocated to a normal member of society. In other words, these 113 terrorists are legitimate targets. The catch-and-release program engaged in by governments (ours included) is misguided. It's justified and, in my opinion, mandatory that these 113 be taken out.

This is the same Nigella that cooked for President and Mrs. Bush. The fops in the Brit Press gave her a ration of grief for this supposed heresy and she responded by going ahead anyway and preparing a lovely meal for the Bushes.
Furthermore, this woman is...well, one need only LOOK at her. She's a real beauty and is every bit a lady.
Finally, I used to work at a hotel. Miller stayed there whilst he embarrassed himself with his Monday Night Football debacle. While his current humor articulates some of my political views and I do laugh at many of his jokes, I assure you, Dennis Miller has all the class and manners of a stadium urinal. See: A**hole.
Too few ladies of culture and intelligence can be found on the TV. Someone should straighten Miller out.

Buck Fill O'Reilly. What a complete dunce. The days of according Arab terrorists what they want are gone. This is a slap in the face. W(BJ)JC is a disgrace and squandered 8 years of office given to him by We The People. BOR is treading dangerously on the line between remaining somewhat tolerable and being regarded as the Madonna of news/commentary. I mean, it now appears that BOR will do/say ANYTHING to get noticed. How disgusting.

This should come as no surprise. I don't mean to imply that this could have been predicted. However, the ruthlessness of our drive into and across Fallujah has brought so many facts to light: the U.S. is not Spain and we are there to win; the Iraqis hate the terrorists for attracting U.S. military power to their streets; Allawi will not relent-even if his family is in peril. The kidnappers(terrorists) are frightened. Not bad for 6 days work. Excellent job, U.S. Armed Forces.

Oh how disappointed they'll be when the VP turns out to be fine. Please, let's all stop feigning shock over the reactions the Left shows us each and every time someone falls ill or passes. These people are who they are because they are spoiled, take life for granted and love nothing but the sound of their own whining. Just smile and move on. As long as they keep carping, we know where they are.
Mr. & Mrs. Cheney are principled and decent Patriots. His recovery will be quick and complete.

I can only hope that commanders at CENTCOM think, "Never again" and pull our personnel back just far enough to liquefy these savages from the air. From wherever the fire originated, make this a target reference point and let the cannon cockers, airmen and aviators go to friggin' town. Show them what happens when they shoot at any of us.

In these situations it's difficult to tell. It might be the illumination "snow" (flares) from aircraft (like a SPECTRE gunship) or it might be phosphorous. If it's the latter, it's nasty for the target. Phosphorous will burned fueled by air. Hence, water will not extinguish the acceleration. Packing mud on to the skin is pretty much the only way for an individual to control the burning. However, given the continuous aerial assault on these f^%$ers, it's "snow" to illuminate their asses. All in all, we are going to town. I only wish Taliban Lyndh were there to get some.

"...Khaled Hindi, 38, an ambulance driver, who said Iraqi forces stole his cell phone and money.” Okay, Khaled. Your CELL PHONE-why on earth would an offensive force take your commo gear? Perhaps to preclude a warning call to your buddies? This guy sounds dirty. His moonlighting gig was as a forward observer for Zarqawi, I suspect.

Alas, no street fight to be had. This will be handled efficiently and with no mercy. These barbarians will soon realize the meaning of the saying, "Hell is preferable to combat against the United States military." These are dead men. We own the night, we will use the full force of our air power and our men can hit at whatever we aim. The world press cannot help these people. The Liberals can't cajole us into letting them off the hook this time. Zarqawi will be blamed for the Hell that is visiting Fallujah tonight. Whether or not they knew it, the trash that seized our planes on 9/11 started World War III. This will be their greatest defeat. I only wish UBL had a TV. But, hey, we can't get everything we want.

Congrats. Don't get too heady with praise. These people truck with Hollywood types. Hence, when they appeal to someone's vanity, they're setting something up.

And, yes, by all means, lets put Mike in a cell with Taliban Johnny. We shall see where Mike draws the line. I'll wager that Johnny is devoured in no fewer than 48 Hours. Hey...wasn't that a TV show?
