The women of my country in my opinion seem to be more relevent to, and concerned for the success and future of our nation than the wimpish men I see in the America of today. “ALL have sinned” not just men or women. ALL...any persons who would have had a carnal union with Christ, would have brought sin into his sinless nature by them becoming “one flesh”... or do you take what the Bible says with a grain of salt? (man or woman, I guess, to be politically correct as you? Would have) I’d MUCH rather be joined to a woman than a man...FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! Where did all that come from? As a man. And a damn fine one at that!, if I do say so, according to my friends and family. I think @ this time in our country’s history women seem to be superior to men. We dudes are about useless these days...We’ve got to get a grip and stop nitpicking each other and get our heads out of our assess and come up with a comprehensive plan of attack right now...screw the PITUS’..(His Pitifulness) I mean POTUS and Capitol Hill’s schedule. We need to take this nation back NOW. My Catholic friends will say I’m blaspeming. Whatever... It seems all Christian denominations have quirks in which they think their way is the only way... or maybe I should say they are on the correct path to God and others are just mislead. Catholics seem to be exceptionally anal sometimes in these matters, (I honestly did not mean that as a pun, (in reference to a more serious problem in some Christian denominations.) I consider the Mormons as a “Romantic alternative” to Christianity. What with the lost tribes coming to the new world, starting or helping the ancient Mayan and Aztecs build pyramids with knowledge they received in Egypt. The golden plates the “angel” Maroni hid in the hill of Cummara? (Sp?) Joseph Smith burying his head in his hat as he mumbled prophetic utterances as “inspired” by the stones that were placed in the hat. Stones he claimed were the original “umman” and “thumman” again...sp? mentioned in the bible. How he was able to find them is anyone’s guess. The different “levels” of heaven. The fact they can pro - create in heaven when my Bible says “In heaven they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels”. It’s God’s duty to search people’s hearts, and not for me to determine who will, or who will not be allowed into heaven. I have to figure out for myself what IS the truth about God and what this life is all about. “Work out you OWN salvation with fear and trembling”. I know I’m all over the place here. But this thread has been one of the most informative and enlightening ones for me in a long time. One day after working hard on some underwater warfare testing in which a couple of us almost died. One, a Mormon buddy of mine who had the shakes bad, who obviously did not drink, but on this occasion I persuaded him to have a beer to help calm him down. I was amazed he actually drank it.... then another.. After three he started telling me things I know he probably should not be talking about. Although I felt a bit guilty, I couldn’t pass up this rare glimpse into his faith, so asked questions. He talked about how Jesus WAS Satan’s “twin” brother, that they were co- created by God. That Jesus was one of the Guardian cherubs of God. That he was NOT part of the Godhead (trinity). That God himself had a wife in heaven that he continually had sex with. Yes, you heard me right (Sorry Lord, I don’t mean to be crude, just trying to explain in a “toned?” down way what was said) and I won’t even get into the significance of the magical symbols embroidered on young women’s underwear. I was kind of interested in learning more about their religion before hearing this far out stuff. If they can’t be right up front and tell people the truth in ALL circumstances about their faith, then they are hiding something, and to me that is the same as lying. And Satan is the father of lies. Some of what he said was down right spooky. I’m amazed they are able to suppress some of these things. And he was an elder not just a casual church goer, working his way up to some “third?” level. I know many Mormon people. They are kind, but distant. They live clean and healthy lifestyles. They definitely have a superiority complex as do some Christian denominations. Sorry for the windy post...it’s been a while. Thanks to Everyone who posted on this thread. I really did learn a lot and stand open to any criticism, advice, or down right a** ripping us FReepers so often want to do to each other. People say FR has changed...maybe a little for the worse but more for the better. I remember back in 96? When the Monica Lewinsky thing broke and Willy was in deep doo, there was some of the same engaging, and often volatile back and forth then,4 that we see today on FR. That’s what makes this site the greatest.

I too wish I could join up with the IDF to help them in any way I could, but they may be hesitant to work with us any longer. They are a noble people who’s honor and bravery were evident in every person, man or woman, boy or girl I ever encountered while detailed there.
When I worked with them in the early 80’s they loved and trusted American servicemen and other Government employees detailed to the IDF and other Governmental services. I feel sad about the heartbreak they must feel of their staunchest allies deserting them in such perilous times.
My heart goes out to the Israeli people. It’s funny how history can be rewritten by liars and haters in such a short span of time to once again place them as villains #1 on the world stage.

I do know something about torpedoes, sea pressure, salinity and make up of the ocean’s bottom and its strata. A Mk 50 torpedo is very close to circumference of the pipe. Send an inert Mk 50, with laser GPS at high speed straight down the throat of that sucker.
It could go into or push the pipe well below the bottom. Follow it with a Mk 48 ADCAP (again w/o warhead) straight in behind it. Use underwater concrete to plug the 3o foot deep, 3 foot wide hole. I guarantee there would be less oil flowing than what I see now

For someone (not you Cincy RR) who might not Love Israel in the first place, I can see why some would question their actions sometimes, but you have to know their history, culture, and hardships to be totally on their side.

I just keep in mind that verse from the Bible (somewhere) that God says concerning Israel “I will bless those who bless you, and curse those who curse you” He knows who the supporters of his chosen people are.
And you are right, I have friends in Israel who are borderline godless, and have no belief in prophecy, or their place in the world, etc. but I would give anything to trade places with one of them and be a true Israeli citizen. I’m not Jewish, I’m a Christian, but what an honor it would be to be both.

This picture of him squatting down on the beach reminds me of that comic strip years ago, I think it was “Pogo”? or “Tar baby”? or something like that...I still think he would have made a better stand up comedian than a POTUS...He does have the rest of the world in stitches, I lost my sense of humor in the Military so I’m not keen on this stuff, but he must be saying or doing something that’s awfully funny lately

I wonder if this whole “Top Kill” method has been a ploy all along...
Maybe they are finally “really” top killing the damn thing by firing torpedoes (of the proper circumference down the pipe) and they don’t want anyone to see what is going on. There are torpedoes (R&D) as small as 7 inches in diameter that if given a straight and clean shot down into the pipe (pipe cut flush and flanged out), can travel very far. They can wire guide them from a sub or surface ship or by GPS on a pin head, send it down the center of the pipe. The speeds of these units are incredible.
We once test shot an inert Mk 50 that went more than 60 feet straight into solid clay which took us weeks to dig out with ROVs, blow tubes, and other underwater recovery equipment.
Either exploding them far below the ocean floor with a shaped charge to collapse the sides or without warheads, plugging it with a salvo of various sized torpedoes? It sounds crazy, but anyone with underwater warfare experience could see the different possibilities. I sent this idea in a month ago...We may never hear the REAL story of what they are doing down there but I have a feeling this idea or a variation of it could work.
I’d love to know how many Fast Attacks are in the area. There would have to be Navy surface vessels topside. Has anyone reported any of them hanging around?

What gets me is they are probably going to rule the National day of Prayer as being “unconstitutional”. Even though its been with us longer than Roe V Wade, I believe...but if they tried to overthrow Roe V Wade,..The Left would scream “...it’s been in effect for decades..there is precedence!” Well duh...how come no one is bringing the fact that the National Day of Prayer should have the same judicial consideration? Our nation has gone Topsy-Turvy and I feel for the kids...I’ve had a good life. I can’t understand why no one has brought up the point (or pounded it home anyway) the fact that the U.S.A. is now officially NEGOTIATING WITH TERRORISTS as a diplomatic procedure, something is not right. I can feel it. I was trained to be alert to certain social signals. I feel a revolt in the air, and I’m not talking about the tea parties. I was in Naval Intelligence and I know our Government only tells us 1/4 of what is really going on...Either Obama is the most naive politician in centuries, not having a clue of what he hath wrought, maybe the greatest appeaser in history, or he is a ONE MAN SLEEPER CELL. Yes, I said it..and think about it. When he bowed to the king, he may not have said “ It is an honor to meet you sir” I think rather because he is so flaky in his faith, and getting caught up in enormous ego, and the influence of his middle name, etc. he may have just gotten carried away and said “How can I be of use to you Sire?” America is in BIG trouble. It is getting flushed down the toilet right before our eyes.
