I read that they had missed their turn on what would have
been a snowy little highway anyway, en-route to a lodge before
pushing further south.

Instead of turning around, they consulted the map and saw what they thought was a shortcut. Not realizing many of those
small roads aren't plowed, they took that fateful turn.
I'd imagine their car was high centered
or stuck somehow in the deep snow. What a tragedy, but I
hope it's a warning for others planning to travel through
strange areas in bad weather conditions.

Oh, and to others who questioned the wisdom of staying with
the car rather than setting out to seek help.
Rescuers agree that it is far better to stay with the car.
In their case, many people were searching for them - and
of course we know now that the car was spotted.
It's a good idea when planning a trip in winter conditions
to always include an emergency kit. Such items as
lighters (or matches), kitty litter for traction, chains,
warm blankets, flares, and extra sealed munchies can make
all of the difference!

It's just my opinion that the facts and these all important
points have not been elaborated upon, clearly and at every
opportunity. I'll allow that often the "opportunity" is
discounted or ignored by the liberal press corps.

With the 2008 election looming large, it's
imperative! If it is said in its entirety each and every
time, eventually it will slip through the liberal press,
and to the very people who believe there IS no plan and do
not know the facts.

What did Diane EXPECT them to say when even the most down-trodden, IOW MOST of the people in N.Korea will ONLY
answer "Beloved Leader says it is a beautiful day" or words
to that effect, when asked how they are, or any question
for that matter!

On a serious note, he then mentioned taking out the guards
and going for it in a courthouse. Seems it would be easy
enough to see if he'd had a little bad blood (so to speak)
with the judicial system lately while ruling one way or
another on links to terrorist cells.

On another note, with the planned mall explosion, the FIRST
thing they should have checked into was whether or not
a store in that mall had planned another of those crazy
limited supply one hour sale on Playstations. People have
been trampled over them, he may be more of a direct sort
of shopper.

I'm sorry, I should have issued a warning to hold your nose while you read the above. If you remember the author of it, you will not be surprised.

In an article on the newest of the left leaning blog/sites - or should I say the newest version of an old one.

While we mourn this man who has dedicated his life to our country, and done so much in many areas from finances, the much needed all volunteer military, and who has changed the lives of schoolchildren in immeasurable ways, it seems THIS Super Liberal is doing a flamenco dance on his grave!

This will be no surprise to anyone who remembers Jite.

It seems his site has been revived, and I GUESS we should feel honored as he has placed a link to Freerepublic on his home page under the header "Know Thy Enemy".

I don't want to be the Lone Ranger over there, having just discovered it. It seems to be in the starting stages again with only he and some left leaning pals for company.

Not only that, but in an obvious oversite, it seems one need not even sign in to comment. I couldn't believe it. It LOOKS like we may also comment on his blog and discussion boards: http://rackjitecom/serendipity and http://rackjite.com/smf where I personally think he should get a taste of someone else's opinion other than his own and those of like mind. How else will this country ever stop being the polarized place in which we now live? Left leaning blogs and boards are proliferating at an alarming rate. I say if one is dumb enough to leave the gate open, let's kick HIS *ss! (to use his terminology).

I HOPE we can do better than we've done Susie.

The upcoming presidential election is our only hope, and
I am not seeing strong contenders on either side.
