I have to laugh...when even the leftards at Yahoo.com are too gutless to allow comments on the ‘after speech’ backlash because they know they’ll be overwhelmingly anti-Biden. Can’t have that. Censorship-by-omission at its finest from the usual suspects.

If it’s true that the Biden speech was a provocation (and I believe it was), it will end up being one they didn’t wish for. A provocation to all non-leftists, including Independents, to vote against Democrats at every level in every race this November.

nobody wants to even acknowledge the possibility of this being a reality. Certainly not even anyone on the right or even on the Christian right. Leaving the populace in abject ignorance. Quite intentionally so.

No wonder God saw the need to send a savior to mankind. Without Jesus’s sacrifice, we would ALL be doomed. Humans...stupid and easily duped and fooled and corrupted. And we see proof and evidence of this fact DAILY.

I beg to differ. I can go for hours without sinning. I tend to sleep for hours at a time (and am not responsible for those dreams I have).

I am steadfast in my belief, and can’t imagine anything that could cause me to lose my faith in God and Jesus. But I worry about others that are perhaps not as strong-minded. And I believe Jesus commented on how much worse it is for someone that is saved to then lose their faith. Much worse for them.

The problem is that some Christians wrongly think that nothing bad should happen to them if they put their faith in God. It’s unrealistic.

My neighbor, a devout Christian (he and his wife), just had a bad fire break out from a defective grill on Easter Sunday. The fire’s smoke went through the attic and the heat even crumpled their garage door, which was on the opposite side of the house where the fire was. There is now a big hole in their roof and they haven’t been back to the house since Sunday. Bad things happen to Christians all the time, but at least nobody was hurt or killed. That is the silver-lining blessing in that particular cloud.

Well, it would be a wonderful thing if it happens as you say it will. But unfortunately, due to life’s observations and past experiences.. I have become something of a pessimist.

I would feel optimistic about the future...if only the Bible actually stated that there would be a pre-trib rapture of we non-Jewish Christians. I haven’t found that assurance anywhere and trust me, I’ve looked.

I have several family members that fervently believe in this pre-trib rapture. My biggest fear is that if/when that rescue rapture doesn’t happen and they start to have to suffer....they might lose their faith and end up ‘not saved’.

I shell attempt to think more positively. We Christians are all on Team Jesus and yes, if it happens as you say it will,

You're referring to a 'pre-tribulation rapture' here, right? The only reason I can see ....is that people "want" to believe that they won't have to suffer during the end times, whether out of fear or out of naivety. But when, in the history of this world, have Christians not had to suffer? When have they been "rescued" before bad things happened?

And why did Jesus mention several times that 'those who endure until the end will be saved'? To the end of what? If Jesus planned to remove believers before the tribulation began, he would have clearly said that, instead of what he did say....wouldn't he?

I would love to believe that we will not have to experience any suffering before the actual end, but I doubt we'll be that lucky. Why would we Christians in these last days be so special as to escape the same persecutions and hell that other Christians have had to endure in past centuries?

I believe we are all special in that we have great strength to endure what is coming...but we will indeed have to "endure until the end".... at which time we, as believers in Jesus Christ as our savior, will be saved. Just as Jesus promised.

Here are the passages I am referring to which I believe shows that Jesus will only come once to retrieve his believers...and that will be at the end of the tribulation before his final battle with Satan. He mentions “for the sake of the elect, those days will be shortened”. Who are the elect, if not his flock of believers…..all believers…ie, we Christians? Matthew 24:31 clearly says that the elect will be gathered by angels when Jesus comes at the end of tribulation.

Matthew 24:12-13 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.

Matthew 24:22 22 If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened.

Matthew 24:31 31 And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

Mark 13:13 13 Everyone will hate you because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.

Just like.... choosing to defy God was a decision that Eve and Adam made. Just like choosing to defy God was a decision that Satan made. And just like all sinners decide to sin against God's will.

The test is... do you give into to that temptation to defy God, whether out of pride or out of weakness or whatever...

or do you choose to accept Jesus Christ as your savior and obey God's commandments and do His will.

Yeah, it's a choice/decision. Everyone has that choice to make. So...do you choose to be the wheat...

or the chaff?

No, belief in Jesus Christ as our savior and redeemer is the test. Those that come to believe will be saved. Those that do not will not be saved. THAT is the “test”.

You're missing a lot. One Helluva lot, in fact. But it would be a waste of time to try to educate you. That is one thing that, if one can be sure of anything in this life, I am shock-sure of.

Nevertheless, I am compelled to try, so here is a hint/clue. This mortal life is all a test and a trial to see who is worthy of eternal life. That is why God gave us free will. It has all been clearly spelled out for those that have the desire and willingness to understand. How you conduct yourself in this mortal life you've been given will determine how and "where" you spend eternity, IOW. And from what I have come to know, it is never too late to ask God for forgiveness and to accept Jesus as your savior. It's a choice given to all.
