A lawsuit claims four students took turns forcibly penetrating a third-grade girl in a restroom stall, blocked her escape, and received one-day suspensions, OregonLive reported. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill on Monday that will prohibit children younger than 14 from joining social media in the state. Those who are 14 or 15 will need a parent’s consent before they join a platform. The bill, HB3, also directs social media companies to delete the existing accounts of those who are under 14. In April 2023, Santa Ana Unified School District removed the Trevor Project Crisis Hotlines from posters at all K-12 schools, as well as from counselors’ business cards. I watched it happen. An appeals court in Texas upheld an injunction by a lower court that prevents the state from investigating parents who allow their children under 18 to receive "gender-affirming care." In 2022, Texas GOP Gov.
