SOUTH FLORIDA — A South Florida Realtor recently lost his drone after an alligator ate it. Rob Rosetto with Rosetto Realty Group in Boca Raton shared a short video of the hungry gator jumping out of the water to snatch the drone mid-air on social media. (Watch the video below.) “Well, there goes my drone,” he wrote in a Sept. 24 Instagram post. “Damn alligator actually just ate it!” In the video, a group watching the gator erupts into laughter and cheers when it chomps down on the drone. A man’s voice can be heard saying, “That’s not funny.”

n one of Chris Evans' latest interviews, the Lightyear star was swarmed with puppies – one of which took a bite at his crotch. In the undoubtedly awkward encounter during the interview for Buzzfeed, the actor discussed his rituals in preparation for voicing Buzz Lightyear in the latest Pixar animation. Pretty soon, the 41-year-old became distracted by the plethora of adorable pups that were coming his way, which meant he became vulnerable to a nip on the crown jewels. While he kicked back and relaxed in the room full of tiny dogs, one little fella burrowed his way between Evans’...

Teeth marks from a great white shark are proof of a San Diego kayaker's narrow brush with danger off the coast of Catalina Island. The incident happened as Danny McDaniel and Jon Chambers were kayaking Saturday morning near Ship Rock, about two miles east of Catalina. The excursion was part of a scuba diving trip coordinated by Power Scuba from the island's Boy Scouts camp. "Felt push to the left, looked to right, giant great white shark a foot from my boot," said McDaniel. "His upper half of body was out of the water, his dorsal fin was out of...

The humpback whale has one of the biggest mouths on the planet—and the appetite to match. The bus-size mammals can eat up to 2500 kilograms of fish a day, and a new study reveals one way they snag these huge numbers: They make the fish come to them. Humpbacks were already known to have a few hunting tricks up their sleeve. They blow bubbles in giant circles around herring to herd them into tightly grouped schools that can be swallowed whole. They also “power thrust” into dense balls of young herring, catching the fish by surprise. Now, biologists have added...

Matthew Riggins, 22, of Palm Bay was reported missing Nov. 13. His body was found 10 days later floating in a pond near Latan Court and Barefoot Circle, in Barefoot Bay. Investigators said it had the makings of a gator attack. Shortly before Riggins was reported missing, he called his girlfriend and told her he'd be in the area breaking into homes, deputies said. "He was going to do burglaries in the Barefoot Bay...

OKALOOSA ISLAND — A local family remains upset four days after giving their pet turtle to the Gulfarium and watching it get eaten by an alligator. When the two looked away from the sight, she said they could hear the crunching of the turtle’s shell. “He was jumping up and down screaming,” Guthrie said of her son’s reaction. “He was shouting, ‘Oh no alligator, let it go.’ ” Guthrie said that they decided to donate Tomalina after the turtle outgrew its...

Something horrifying is happening in the waters off Brazil. Sharks are attacking surfers near the city of Recife at an unprecedented rate, scaring the locals and forcing the government to ban the sport at one of it’s most popular beaches. Over the past decade, 45 people have been attacked by bull sharks in the region, 16 were deadly. And while these attacks are not unheard of, the fact the port city had recorded only one in the 75 years prior, is perplexing. Are the sharks rebelling? Have they had enough of people overcrowding their home? Or is there something less...

Shark Bites Red Water may very well be the first horror movie based on George Bush. I'm guessing it probably won't be the last. Although the film doesn't exactly feature Dubya in a hockey mask slashing up a bunch of teenagers, he does seem indirectly responsible for the numerous corpses on display in Red Water. See, the film begins with an oil drilling operation in a national wildlife refuge deep in the bayous of Louisiana. Seems some politician somewhere thought it was a good idea to allow drilling in national parks. Turns out such short-sighted environmental policy leads directly to...
