The House of Representatives voted to kill a resolution to censure progressive Rep. Rashida Tlaib, R-Mich., on Wednesday night. Nearly two dozen Republicans voted along with all House Democrats to table the resolution in a final vote of 222 to 186 in favor of killing the motion without debate. Democrats briefly broke out into applause when the resolution failed.

Rep. Chuck Edwards (R-NC) is asking for the public’s help in finding his constituents’ casework after predecessor Madison Cawthorn failed to turn it over. Without such crucial information, Edwards faces the task of going to work for an entire district from scratch. Many of the people he represents may need help with pressing issues. Cawthorn vacated his office last year after Edwards beat him in his primary and won the general election. He apparently ghosted all of western North Carolina on the way out....

North Carolina Rep. Madison Cawthorn on Thursday called for “Dark MAGA” to topple “the Uni-party” and shake up “gentile politics” in his first Instagram post since losing his Republican primary election on Tuesday. The 26-year-old — who angered fellow House Republicans by suggesting that they do cocaine and invited him to orgies in DC — lost his primary bid to state Sen. Chuck Edwards, despite having former President Donald Trump’s endorsement.

Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.) called for Republicans in his district to “rally behind the Republican ticket” in November after he lost the GOP primary for his seat on Tuesday. “Congratulations to @ChuckEdwards4NC on securing the nomination tonight,” Cawthorn tweeted late Tuesday. “It’s time for the NC-11 GOP to rally behind the Republican ticket to defeat the Democrats’ nominee this November,” he added.

Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.) was projected to lose his primary in North Carolina on Tuesday night, marking the end of a brief yet controversial tenure in the House that earned him critics on both sides of the aisle. The Associated Press called the race for Cawthorn’s rival, state Sen. Chuck Edwards, at 11:09 p.m. ET. Cawthorn’s campaign confirmed earlier Tuesday that the lawmaker had already conceded to Edwards. Heading into the Tuesday primary, Cawthorn faced a crowded field of Republican rivals, though he remained the favorite to clinch the nomination in North Carolina’s 11th Congressional District.
