Northern and Southern California seafood fans say they’re buying giant lobster claws sold at Costco stores, and photos on Instagram and Reddit suggest each claw is much larger than a human hand. Screenshot from Instagram ================================================================= Seafood lovers on Instagram and Reddit are freaking out over photos showing gigantic lobster claws, and those posting the pictures say they bought them at Costco stores. “This thing is unreal!” one Instagram user wrote this week, sharing a couple of photos of a massive claw in Southern California’s Newport Beach. “I mean, come on. When it comes to fearless battlefield feats – there can be few to match that of the crab that amputated its own claw. Filmed on the remote Pacific island of Clipperton, the crustacean is initially part of a raiding party on the nest of a group of Boobie birds. However, he gets separated from his comrades and comes under a vicious attack. The angry birds relentlessly peck him and in the end badly injure one of his claws. But this is no defeat for the crab. Instead of feeling sorry for himself he courageously cuts off the limp limb and...

In a sworn statement to be made public Tuesday, University of Colorado President Elizabeth Hoffman said a four-letter word used toward women can sometimes be used as a "term of endearment." The comment comes from Hoffman's latest sworn testimony in connection with a federal lawsuit against the university. The suit was filed by women who say they were sexually assaulted by CU football players and recruits. A lawyer for one of the women asked Hoffman about former CU kicker Katie Hnida being called the "c- word" by a teammate. That player was later disciplined by coach Gary Barnett for making...
