RUSH: During the break right before the conclusion the previous hour, I did something I seldom do. I actually turned on the audio here during a break. I was listening to CNN. They had a roundtable discussion. Comey’s testimony had just ended so they go into closed session. Yeah, closed session, where the real juicy stuff can be thrown out there for Richard Burr to slurp up and whatever else! I’m watching Toobin — Jeffrey Toobin, the supreme legal analyst at CNN — and he’s acknowledging that it was true that Comey had said Trump was not a target three...

In reaction to the May ratings report showing MSNBC as number one in weeknight prime-time viewership in the prized 25-to-54 age demographic, CNN sent out a spokeswoman to separate itself from the competition. CNN should be viewed as "the one nonpartisan cable news network," presumably unlike MSNBC, and certainly unlike Fox News. This statement was issued after CNN personality Kathy Griffin did a stunt holding up a replica of President Trump's bloody severed head. It's doubly shameless that it also came after CNN host Reza Aslan raged at the president on Twitter, calling him "this piece of s---." CNN responded...

It is now official: Hell has frozen over.On more than a half-dozen occasions, I have shared with you my outrage over the biased, anti-Trump slant of the Associated Press. No major newspaper or broadcast media outlet in America is immune to the AP’s tentacles reaching into the nation’s newsrooms with ever- more-hysterical examples of Yellow Journalism disguised as “news.” (Full disclosure: my Salem Radio Network’s 24/7 SRN News and TOWNHALL.com News services are AP subscribers and—thus—must devote considerable staff time to ferreting out the actual news within AP’s unending distribution of anti-Trump screeds which apparently must meet fewer standards...

RUSH: Okay. It’s Open Line Friday, and I’m gonna get to the phones in the next segment. There’s real not enough time here to be fair with anybody, and there’s nobody up there I want to be unfair with, so we will wait. I just want to give you examples, again, of what I was just talking about. There isn’t a shred of evidence, there’s not a morsel of evidence for anything being alleged. Now, you might say, “Rush, there has to be. All this coverage.” I’m telling you, there isn’t. There isn’t a shred of evidence. They don’t have...

So called liberals, supposedly dedicated to the advancement of women, attack the first lady of the United States while forgetting the stoning of women in Islamic countries. Unbelievable.First Lady Melania Trump was recently subject of one of the most repressive articles against an American woman. The fake and failed Clinton News Network (CNN) opinion hit piece essentially said that of course Mrs. Trump is getting accolades from the Saudi Arabian press because she is “conservative” in her dress and manner. Please.Maybe CNN should run some more articles about Islamic genital mutilation, stoning of women, sodomy of minors, or the oppressive judicial...

Although President Trump’s speech before 50 Muslim leaders in Saudi Arabia did not break new ground in terms of America’s Middle Eastern policy, it was highly significant for at least four reasons.First, Trump mentioned “terror” or “terrorism” 30 times. In stark contrast, during President Obama’s (in)famous speech Cairo speech in 2009, he did not mention terrorism at all. More importantly, President Trump spoke directly of “the crisis of Islamist extremism and the Islamist terror groups it inspires.” To fight against this, Trump urged, “means standing together against the murder of innocent Muslims, the oppression of women, the persecution of...

This week, the Media Research Center posted a study of one CNN day showing that the network is obsessed with President Trump and the overwhelming majority of CNN’s experts opining on Trump are highly negative. CNN’s rare allowance of pro-Trump voices often come from commentators they pay to defend Trump. So why insult them when that’s what you pay them to do? On his primetime show AC360 Friday night, Anderson Cooper interrupted one of Jeffrey Lord's defenses of Trump -- saying he doesn't care what Trump tells the Russians -- by saying "if he took a dump on his desk, you...

While speaking to reporters Friday morning at the U.S. Capitol, liberal Democratic Congressman Elijah Cummings (Md.) gave his fellow lefties a pep talk and marching orders, telling them that “this is your moment†and “we cannot afford to lose†this fight for America (against President Trump and his supporters). Cummings spoke following a briefing from Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein on the firing of FBI Director James Comey and, prior to his mini-speech, complained about the firing having “turned into a mess†and applauded Robert Mueller’s appointment as special counsel on the Russia investigation. a href=http://www.mrctv.org/videos/liberal-rep-cummings-gives-media-pep-talk-your-momentwe-cannot-afford-lose>Liberal Rep. RUSH: I told you yesterday to stop watching the media, that you are not getting an accurate picture. The media’s not even doing what they’re doing… (sigh) Well, it’s a bit of a stretch to say they’re not doing it for national consumption; they, of course, are. But it is really inside-the-Beltway here, because that’s where power is in their minds and that’s where any effective change they want will take place. So the primary objective of the Drive-By Media is to flood the zone in the nation’s capital with this never-ending badgering of “Trump out of control,” “White House...

Breaking news from CNN: President Trump got two scoops of ice cream with his chocolate cream pie, whereas everyone else only got one. This crucial piece of information was revealed in a TIME Magazine interview with the president. Seriously: Who cares? It's ice cream. Good for him. He's the president of the United States. There are so many more important things to either freak out about or report on, yet for some reason we're running with the president's dessert habits. No wonder nobody trusts the media any longer.

Not convinced the media is the opposition party yet? Well, Thursday provided another example as CNN issued a statement disguised as an editorial, blasting President Donald Trump for comments he made about liberal CNN hosts Chris Cuomo and Don Lemon as “beneath the dignity of the office of the President." Reported by Reliable Sources host Brian Stelter, he filled the role of network stenographer: "CNN says President Trump's latest anti-media attacks "are beneath the dignity of the office of the President." "In an interview with Time magazine, Trump insulted CNN's Chris Cuomo and Don Lemon and criticized MSNBC's Joe Scarborough....

RUSH: Now, I want to move on yesterday on this program, many of you will recall that I got a good laugh out of Trump trolling the media and the Democrats. Why did I say Trump was trolling the Democrats? Do you recall, Mr. Snerdley? What was the reason I said this? (interruption) That’s right. He was meeting with the Soviet foreign minister. The day after he fires Comey and the Democrats and the media are obsessed with this investigation that the Russians are colluding with Trump, Trump fires Comey and has a meeting in the Oval Office with the...

RUSH: CNN and the Washington Post with fake news. There’s a news story that Comey requested additional money for his investigation just days before he was fired. The Department of Justice has just denied it 100%. There was no request for additional money before he was fired. CNN and the Washington Post get this fake news trail going that Comey was getting close, man! He needed some more money. He needed some more money to nail Trump! And that’s when Trump moved in and said, “Screw you! You’re not getting the money. You’re not getting me.” The DOJ says it’s...

CNN apparently tried to be “fair and balanced†during the channel’s CNN Newsroom program on Tuesday morning, April 11, when co-hosts John Berman and Poppy Harlow moderated a debate that degenerated into an argument between political commentators Jeffrey Lord and Angela Rye that dealt with topics ranging from the relationship between America and Russia to global climate change. Rye’s comment to Lord came near the end of the segment, when she told him: “Climate change is a real thing. … Tell your friends that there are icebergs melting, OK? We have a real challenge, and your guy is dialing back...

A simple news segment about the media coverage of Syria spun wildly out of control during Sunday’s Reliable Sources on CNN. It started with Foreign Correspondent Lara Setrakian noting how little coverage the Syrian civil war received in the early years. But it ending with Jeremy Scahill, co-founder of The Intercept, going off the rails and declaring that “We need to understand the historical context of how a butcher like Assad actually has more in common with someone like Dick Cheney than he does with the average Syrian…†Scahill’s inane tirade derailed the whole segment from the moment he opened...

The wagon-circling campaign to protect Obama administration and intelligence community officials who surveilled Donald Trump and his transition team during his presidential campaign and post-victory transition is moving into hyperdrive. On Monday, CNN's Don Lemon proclaimed that "there is no evidence whatsoever" supporting Donald Trump's claim about having been "spied on illegally" (note the inclusion of the word "illegally," which is crucial), and declared that he would not "aid and abet the people who are trying to misinform you." Lemon's stridency as he delivered his rant on CNN Tonight appeared to betray "he protests too much" behavior, while subsequent events...

CNN's Brian Stelter angrily contends that the rape of a 14 year-old girl at Rockville High School in Montgomery County, Maryland on March 16 at the hands of two late-teen illegal immigrant freshman classmates should never have been a national story — and the fact that it is to an extent, despite obvious attempts to blackball it by the Big Three broadcast networks, is all Fox News's fault. The real question, which the public education establishment and their accomplices in the press don't want anyone to ask, is this: What has happened in the nation's schools during the past 35 years as...

During the second break in day two of Neil Gorsuch’s confirmation hearing Tuesday afternoon, CNN detected some wind in their sails as they swooned and congratulated their Democratic allies for supposedly giving the “testy†Gorsuch “a little bit more of a run for his money.†CNN found nothing to object to in the first break around lunchtime, so it was inevitable that they would concoct some sort of liberal spin to give Senate Democrats a boost.http://www.mrctv.org/videos/giddy-cnn-swoons-democrats-are-giving-testier-gorsuch-run-his-money CNN Supreme Court analyst Joan Biskupic could barely contain her enthusiasm, gleefully hyping that Gorsuch was “getting a little testier†and praised “Senators Durbin,...

He's done it before, but he quadrupled down this time. CNN's serial plagiarist Fareed Zakaria, who insists that former President Barack Obama's administration was "largely scandal-free," contended on Don Lemon's CNN Tonight show Friday evening that Donald Trump owes his whole life, his success and his election to the presidency to "bullsh*tting." As Matthew Balan at NewsBusters observed in early August, Zakaria described Trump as a "bullsh*t artist," and went to the left's favorite characterization of anyone they disagree with or don't like: CNN's Fareed Zakaria ripped Donald Trump with an uncensored expletive on Monday's Wolf program over the billionaire's...

On Thursday's CNN Tonight, Don Lemon hosted a discussion in which he suggested that black Americans would "lose" in President Donald Trump's budget in spite of Trump asking black voters during the campaign, "what do you have to lose?" As conservative CNN political commentator and Trump supporter Paris Dennard was outnumbered 4-1 -- facing off with two liberals guests, a liberal host and a right-leaning guest who was critical of Trump's budget -- Dennard jousted with Lemon and at one point was admonished by the host to "let other people speak" even though Dennard was not the one speaking at...
