President Barack Obama has appointed a far left labor unionist to a security sensitive U.S. trade post. Bob King On February 16, 2011,  Obama  announced the appointment of United Auto Workers president Bob King to the Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations. As U.S. trade positions and data are always  key targets of foreign intelligence services, one would think that appointments to such a body would be subject to thorough scrutiny. Either this was not done in King's case, or affiliation with far left organizations, is no longer considered any sort of danger to national security in today's Washington....

Black Chamber of Commerce, President and CEO Harry Alford accuses Senator Boxer (D-CA) of playing race politics during a Senate EPW Committee hearing on green jobs after Sen.Boxer tried to introduce documents contradictory to Mr. Alford from other African-American organizations. EPW Ranking Member Sen. James Inhofe (D-OK) notes that the NAACP resolution that Sen. Boxer referenced did not actually support the position she was trying to make.

Alford was upset because he wanted his testimony to stand on the merits of the evidence and not be countered by Boxer thinking his testimony...

Ever the optimists, Democrats remain convinced that they are riding a wave to victory in November. If Tuesday's California special election results mean anything, then the wails and screams that ultimately come in the wake of any so-called November tsunami are more likely to come from the Capitol Hill offices of Nancy Pelosi and Rahm Emmanuel than they are from the Republican leadership. Even after Francine Busby's loss to Congressman-elect Brian Bilbray in California's 50th Congressional District the so-called election experts are spinning wildly to proclaim what an achievement it was to have come so close. But close doesn't matter....

Anti-war prof in Charleston tries to stifle free speech by threatening student?Some of you may have seen the emails and pictures at SC Hotline that were sent back and forth by anti-war professors at the College of Charleston. Earl Capps, a student at the college who helped organize the Rally for Freedom, responded to the messages (to Shaw specifically) and let others know about how the professors had been using state-owned computers and e-mail servers....
