"After years of sharing him with Barack, now you can have handsome and dependable Joe Biden all to yourself." So proclaims the back cover of Hot Cup of Joe: A Piping Hot Coloring Book with America's Sexiest Moderate, Joe Biden, a thirsty ode to the former vice president of the United States and presumptive Democratic nominee for president, health permitting. You've probably read a tweet or two agonizing about whether it's possible to portray "sexiness" without reinforcing the problematic sexism that pervades our patriarchal culture. Even if the answer is yes, illustrator Jason Millet's contribution to this important debate goes...

This coloring book might be the most creative way to celebrate Hillary Clinton’s historic milestone. Earlier this week, Hillary Clinton became the first woman to become the presidential nominee for a major political party. On Thursday, she formally accepted her nomination at the Democratic National Convention. In honor of these groundbreaking events, SheKnows Media has released a coloring book featuring Clinton in some kickass scenarios.

I was blown away at Walmart today when I came upon a Trump coloring book. Has anyone else seen it? It was quite amazing. It has Trump in many famous renderings such as him as The Statue of Liberty, Abe Lincoln, his head on Mt. Rushmore, superman, and many other famous characters. The book was actually a little scary. It reminded me of something that the anti Christ might have disseminated about himself, but it was a lot of fun. Too bad Obama, this wasn't and couldn't have been about you. You have been Trumped!

It's what every young child with political aspirations wants, but unfortunately, "Hillary: The Coloring Book" won't be available in time for Christmas. Yep, you read that right. There's a Hillary Clinton coloring book, which comes out on Jan. 13 at Amazon, courtesy of Ulysses Press. Unlike "Ted Cruz Saves America," Clinton doesn't get the superhero treatment, but instead, has a heavy dose of pantsuits, ready to be finished off by your young artists.

A coloring book starring Texas Sen. Ted Cruz is selling like hotcakes on Amazon. Called "Cruz To The Future," the $5.39 book is the No. 1 best-seller on the company's website in the coloring books category — and even beats "Stars Wars" and "Angry Birds" coloring books. Published by Really Big Coloring Books, it contains quotes from the tea-party senator as well as details about his life along with drawings of him that kids — or even his older supporters — can color in. In one sketch, it shows Cruz holding a rifle while wearing a hunting jacket, and the...

9/11 Coloring Book Draws Criticism for Portrayal of Muslims By CANDACE SMITH August 30, 2011 As the 10th anniversary of 9/11 approaches, one publisher has memorialized it in a manner that's generating a lot of controversy. Instead of appealing to kids with doe-eyed puppies and flowers, his new coloring book, "We Shall Never Forget 9/11: The Kids' Book of Freedom," offers children drawings of the Twin Towers burning and Osama Bin Laden in the moments before he was shot hiding behind one of his wives. And while the publisher says the doodles represent patriotism, some Muslims are arguing that the...

The satirical spirit of New Orleans humor is on full display in "The Ray Nagin Coloring Book," the creation of local artist Karen Ocker (New Basin Press, $9.95). A new coloring book features New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin. Some of Nagin's more colorful quotable remarks are accompanied by Ocker's witty line drawings. It's adult entertainment, for sure -- remember "I stand before you, a vagina friendly mayor. I am in?" Or laugh at Nagin as a staggering mouse, laboring under a huge burden of cheese, , saying "I have change a lot and moved a lot of people's cheese. See...

“Folks, this is one of the most exciting games in Super Bowl history! In case you just tuned in, here’s what’s happening: With only 8 seconds to go, the Buffalo Bills are trailing the New York Giants 20-19, but in the past two minutes Bills quarterback Jim Kelley has moved his team to the Giants’ 29-yard line, setting up kicker Scott Norwood for a field goal attempt. If Norwood makes it, the Buffalo Bills will win 22-20.” Watched by tens of thousands in Tampa Stadium and millions more on TV, the Buffalo Bills line up for what will probably be...

Remember kids: Be good, say your prayers and, uh, never be alone with a priest. Praise! This is how you know. This is one more of the beautiful bizarre myriad ways the Great Shift signals its imminent arrival, in fits and spurts and wayward sidelong slaps, weird cultural burps and from unexpected places that make you go, wow. Take the Archdiocese of New York. It has apparently just released new coloring book for kids, all about how to be safe in an age of fear and predation. It is full of nice pictures of kids being sweet and virginal and...

RACINE - Eddie Eagle - a feathered National Rifle Association cartoon character who teaches children how not to handle guns - could actually be harmful, says an alderman opposed to a Police Department plan to use Eddie in programs for children. The City Council will decide Tuesday whether the Racine Police Department can order hundreds of coloring books from the NRA for no charge and use them in conjunction with lectures the department holds with children. Among other things in the books, children would be coloring in images of guns and of children finding guns in their homes. You can...
