An army of reddit users believes it has found evidence that former Hillary Clinton computer specialist Paul Combetta solicited free advice regarding Clinton's private email server from users of the popular web forum. A collaborative investigation showed a reddit user with the username stonetear requested help in relation to retaining and purging email messages after 60 days, and requested advice on how to remove a "VERY VIP" individual's email address from archived content. Paul Combetta may have sought advice from Reddit on how to back fill a bunch of Hillary Clinton’s old emails with someone else’s name. On the Friday, September 2nd, late in the afternoon before Labor Day weekend, the FBI released a huge trove of Clinton emails discovered during their investigation of the former Secretary of State’s use of a private email server.

The post in question, traced to Clinton IT guy Paul Combetta. The screen name used was confirmed by reddit users to be Combetta.

A computer specialist who deleted Hillary Clinton’s emails despite orders from Congress to preserve them was given immunity by the Justice Department during its investigation into her personal email account, according to a law enforcement official and others briefed on the investigation.
