Senator Ben Sasse announced that he and his wife have voted early in the Nebraska GOP primary for his colleague Senator Ted Cruz. Senator Sasse has been vocally opposed to the current Republican frontrunner Donald Trump. Back in February, he penned an open letter to Trump supporters on Facebook explaining that in his view, Mr. Trump is not committed to defending the United States Constitution and the principles of conservatism.

The conventional wisdom is that Donald Trump will win the New York primary with well over 50 percent and win nearly all of the Empire State’s 95 delegates this upcoming Tuesday. But the recent head-to-head polling tells a different story. Unless your name is George W. Bush, it’s tough to win 270 electoral votes without winning the popular vote.
