A follow-up to this post. My lovely wife, a Red Cross volunteer has been asked to go to the local public swimming facilities to collect those "horribly insensitive" posters. After all, the Red Cross is made up of volunteers who rely on donations. Never mind the flooding still goiong on in Texas and W Va, and that we're in the midst of hurricane season in FL, priorities are priorities, right? And at least 99% of the donors are either unaware of this non-controversy or don't give a rat's a** or are angry that the Red Cross would shamelessly capitulate to...

A poster about pool safety that was up outside a Colorado swimming pool is being called racist. A man shared a photo he apparently took of the poster at the Salida community pool. On Twitter, John Sawyer asked the American Red Cross about the "super racist" post "Hey Red Cross. Send a new pool poster to @SalidaRec bc the current one they have with your name on it is super racist." The Red Cross responded to Sawyer via Twitter saying "Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We’re removing this from our site immediately & are creating new materials."...

Forget peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Now, we’re supposed to believe there may be a racial component to Amazon’s new same-day shipping service for Prime members in certain areas of the country. The Christian Science Monitor reported: For many black consumers and especially those who have experienced discrimination in retail shops, Amazon presents a good option for shopping without being followed around or singled out. Here’s the kicker: But a Bloomberg analysis of the same-day shipping services reveals a racial bias: Amazon’s same-day shipping service often excludes predominantly black neighborhoods in six major cities. Say what? Some companies have made...

There are some serious questions about what happened in the hours leading up to three teenagers dying in a Florida pond after police dashcam video was released of the incident. The video shows the marsh-like pond is too thick for deputies to save the girls early in the morning of March 31st. In a press conference the following day, Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri said his deputies took off their belts, rushing into the water to try and save them, but were hindered by mucky conditions But dashcam video only shows the officers standing near the pond, watching the girls'...

A Roseville restaurant is under fire for an image found on a dining table depicting a hanging. The Minneapolis NAACP says Tyrone Williams and Chauntyll Allen were preparing to dine at Joe's Crab Shack Wednesday night when they noticed a photo embedded inside the table top. The image appears to show a large group of white people watching a public execution of at least one black person. On the bottom of the picture, it reads: "Hanging at Groesbeck, Texas on April 12th 1895." At the top, the caption reads, "All I said was that I didn't like the gumbo." Williams...

Hey Jada, I saw your video about boycotting The Oscars because The Academy nominated zero blacks in the best actor category this year (The second year in a row by the way). All I have to say is...'That’s not right and it’s right up there with some of the greatest atrocities known to mankind.' Any way ... I'm sorry that you and Spike Lee are upset. I haven't seen Concussion yet, but I hear Will did a fantastic job. I hope you guys get over your deep grief. I’ll be praying for you. As I watched your angry video, I...

Donald Trump is plenty loathed these days for lining his campaign trail with what many find to be racist proclamations, but Woody Guthrie was way early on the tip with a hatred for Trump's father spanning back more than 65 years. In 1950 the famed "This Land Is Your Land" populist folk singer moved into a Brooklyn public housing project owned by Donald Trump's father, Fred Trump, and soon found it to be segregated by a color line excluding any black tenants. As Gawker reports, in Guthrie's writings he took to calling the white "Beach Haven" neighborhood "Bitch Havens." How...

Republican front-running presidential candidate Donald Trump hit back at prolific talk-show host Tavis Smiley, who called him “an unrepentant, irascible, religious and racial arsonist†on a recent episode of This Week on ABC. That Smiley would discuss Trump’s perceived racial arson is not surprising considering he was appearing on George Stephanopoulos‘s show to discuss his latest book, The Covenant With Black America: Ten Years Later. As Smiley’s book tour rolls on, Trump’s history publicly pursuing his detractors indicates that this battle will see more airtime very soon.

Chris Rock is a favorite of ours at LwC (see Dear Racist Chris Rock: White Kids Get Shot Too.. More, Actually and Dear Chris Rock: You Racist, Ignorant A...), as is Jennifer Lawrence (see Jennifer Lawrence Angers Feminists on 'Equal Pay' : 'I Blame Myself..' and #SJW Feminists OUTRAGED Over How Much Jennifer Lawrence Makes..), so when we heard the two names together.. Oh, no. They aren't making a movie together. Chris Rock was just claiming that if J-Law were black, then she would really have some unequally pay to complain about. Rock, who spread the word about Jones to...

Students at Harvard University are denouncing an alleged hate crime at the school after strips of black tape were found over portraits of Harvard Law School (HLS)’s black professors Thursday morning. But there are several aspects of the supposed “hate crime†that suggest it could be a big hoax. HLS’s Wasserstein Hall includes a small portrait of every single tenured faculty member at the school, but Thursday morning small black strips of tape were found covering the faces of every black professor’s portrait. The vandalism was discovered sometime before 8:30 a.m., when the first notices of the vandalism began appearing...

Much like the lie known as “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot,†rumors and unsubstantiated allegations continue to flow freely on the University of Missouri campus, with some of the worst of it coming from student body president Payton Head. Head, who had previously claimed he was called the “n-word†from a passing pickup truck — one of the actions that led to the school’s president, Tim Wolfe, resigning on Monday — was at it again on Tuesday. This time, he took to social media to warn students about the KKK being on campus, according to Twitchy.com: There’s only one small problem...

Southern Coalition for Social Justice senior staff attorney Daryl Atkinson appeared Saturday as a guest on MSNBC’s “Melissa Harris-Perry†to talk President Obama’s executive order to “ban the box,†which refers to the section on a job application for criminal history. According to Atkinson, people with a criminal background “face legal discrimination in many areas of life†“The president’s action on Monday really affirms values that we hold dear in this country. Values like inclusion and equal opportunity for all people because people with records face legal discrimination in many areas of life. The 65 million Americans, one in three...

A couple weeks ago, The Daily Caller completed its alphabetical tour de force showing that racism has seeped into every nook and cranny of American life including superhero movies, the weather and the very air we breathe. It was hard, arduous work. Now, some 19 articles later — and still feeling grimy and contaminated from multiple visits to obscure sites like Salon deep in the bowels of the Internet — it’s time to celebrate. It’s time to kick back, relax and enjoy the greatest hits of all the things someone, somewhere has deemed racist. A is for academic freedom, which...

Scientists have determined that sleep is the latest thing to be racist. News of the development comes from National Journal in a lengthy article that debuted late last week. The article, which manages to reach nearly 6,000 words, cites several studies, including one conducted at the University of California, San Diego. For the five-year study, researchers hooked 164 human subjects up to a polysomnography machine (which features a brain scanner, eye trackers, breathing sensors and much else). They found that black participants and white participants experienced sleep differently. In a nutshell, the white study subjects achieved slow-wave sleep — which...

“Racist” is one of those terms that gets thrown around for no good reason. It’s almost lost its entire meaning and it’s pretty worthless as a commentary on someone’s character. So when I hear that members of a high school marching band in Texas is being accused of racism, I know the reason for it is going to be pretty stupid. And, surprise surprise, I was not disappointed (sadly). According to this, students from Atascocita High School were suspended or kicked out of marching band because of a gift they gave to students from Summer Creek High School during a...

For years Democrats have fought voter ID laws as hard as they could, claiming they’re nothing more than a Republican attempt to suppress minority votes and that voter fraud is a total non-issue. Now it appears Democrats are losing this battle: Via the Washington Examiner: The Left and President Obama are losing their fight to block the widespread introduction of voter ID cards. In courts of law and the court of public opinion, the issue is gaining traction. With few exceptions, liberal pressure groups have lost lawsuits in state after state, with courts tossing out their faux claims that ID...

To Pay For Years Of ‘Institutional Racism’ An Asian woman believes that she has suffered from “institutional racism” and as such, she feels that she shouldn’t bear the financial burden of therapy, but that white people should pay for it. An Asian woman has asked white people to pay for her therapy because she claims living with them makes her ill. Rinna Rem, from Portland, Oregon, says the stress of being Thai-Cambodian in a predominantly white city means she has to spend $100 a month on treatment. After suffering ‘institutional racism’ for most of her life, she decided to launch...

A Long Island educator says he was labeled a racist and fired for enforcing academic eligibility requirements for student athletes. Students who are failing two or more classes are ineligible for sports, teacher Robert Cincotta, who served as athletic director for the predominantly black Hempstead school district between 2005 and 2013, said in a Brooklyn federal lawsuit. In February 2013, he began checking grades for all the kids participating in winter sports in the district, such as basketball, wrestling and indoor track, and informing coaches of who would not be allowed to play, Cincotta, who is white, says in court...

As we reported this week, members of the left are turning themselves into pretzels trying to explain away why a gay, black man would pick up a gun and shoot two innocent white people on live television. Obviously, it wasn’t ACTUALLY his fault. He was a victim, and the people he killed were “probably” racist anyway (in which case, it was justified). The latest to join this shameful chorus is Shaun King, one of the leaders of the #BlackLivesMatter movement – who as it turns out has been living his own lie, pretending to be of “mixed race” when in...

Members of a book club out for a ride through California wine country say they endured a "humiliating" experience Saturday when they were kicked off the Napa Valley Wine Train, the San Francisco Chronicle reports. The women from the Sistahs on the Reading Edge club—10 of them black, one white, per the Napa Valley Register—say they were racially targeted for laughing and talking too loud. "It was humiliating," Lisa Johnson tells the Chronicle. "I'm really offended. ... I felt like it was a racist attack on us." Johnson, who posted photos on Facebook, says members of her group, all seated...
