Paul Kengor, Professor of Political Science at Grove City College, is this month's guest on C-Span2's "In-Depth" beginning at noon EDT. Kengor will be interviewed about his work and respond to call-in comments during the two hour show. His latest book is "The Divine Plan: Pope Paul II, Ronald Reagan, and the Dramatic Fall of Communism. Other books include Dupes: How America's Adversaries Have Manipulated Progressives for a Century. The Iowa caucus has finally come and while Texas Sen. Ted Cruz was declared the Republican winner, the Democratic race is a lot more complicated. While supporters for Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders continued to fight it out into the night, the results were not as clear as some questions were raised. In over 1,600 caucus sites around the state of Iowa, Democratic voters made their voices heard. Senate Now Voting on Amendments to Gun Legislation The Senate on Wednesday is debating and will vote on several amendments to S649, the gun legislation bill which Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) introduced last week. One of the first amendments debated and voted on is the amendment by Senators Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Pat Toomey (R-PA) which deals with background checks when purchasing a firearm.
