Jeff Berwick Septemeber 26, 2016 As we enter into the last week before the end of the Jubilee Year, the National Guard has been deployed in Charlotte, North Carolina and massive military convoys have been deployed in the streets of New York City. This is a continuation of last summer’s Jade Helm seven-state military exercise that many in the area saw as a prelude to military occupation. After Jade Helm came the US Army Special Operations Command’s Unconventional Warfare Exercise 16 (UWEX 16) that ran in Texas through June. And now, after yet another police shooting in Charlotte, the city’s...

Dinosaurs in Noah’s vineyard by David Lewis The carving (see image at right), which appears to show two dinosaurs, is on an outside wall of the bell-tower of a fourteenth century church in the Republic of Georgia. Holy Trinity Church (also known as Tsminda Sameba) is on Mount Gergeti, near Stephantsminda village, in the Mount Kazbegi area—close to the borders with North Ossetia and Ingushetia. When I visited this area in 2006 and saw the carvings, I asked a Georgian cleric at the church what they depicted. He commented that they looked like dinosaurs, and he had no idea when...

Nearly 30 people – 29 to be precise – were injured when an explosion went off in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan last night. Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson – and ‘Libertarian’ should be used very, very loosely – is thankful ‘nobody got hurt.’ Hmm. If being injured isn’t getting hurt, I’d hate to see what Johnson thinks getting hurt actually looks like.

No, I do not believe Trump's choice will be Gov. Pence of Indiana. Nor Newt, nor Christie -- not even a man. Yes, I do believe the proposed VP will be a woman. I suspect that Trump's VP running mate will be ex-Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. Why? Well, she is a natural born citizen, a real conservative, and she is ferocious contra liberals/progressives. In addition, she isn't on the list of speakers for the Cleveland Convention and she has been silent of late. She has had lots of experience in dealing with those demons from Hell (the MSM) and her...

She's been a cheerleader for America's biggest mistakes. Crispin Rovere June 2, 2016 As the general election heats up, Clinton supporters have been eager to tout the virtues of her foreign-policy experience relative to Donald Trump. And as a former Secretary of State and First Lady, no one questions Mrs Clinton’s bona fides in that regard. There is just one problem. Foreign-policy stewardship over the past two decades has been the most cataclysmic for American interests abroad in the entire history of the Republic—and Clinton has been in favor of all the biggest mistakes.

This is what I would like to hear on January 20th, 2017. I would like to hear it even more on the first of October but hey, I'm a patient man ... "My fellow Americans ... You may be surprised to hear me say this, but I am a humble man today. As I stand in this place in the center of our government and our enduring freedoms, beside the outgoing president (looks around), hey where is that dude? oh well, not to worry, our government continues through a peaceful transition, and only a few people will be arrested, almost...

Weather Channel founder John Coleman doesn't think much of Bill Nye "The Science Guy." Coleman took Nye to the woodshed over a clip he recorded that aired over the weekend criticizing the soon to be released documentary Climate Hustle. “I have always been amazed that anyone would pay attention to Bill Nye, a pretend scientist in a bow tie,” Mr. Coleman said Saturday on the website Climate Depot. “As a man who has studied the science of meteorology for over 60 years and received the [American Meteorological Society] Meteorologist of the Year award, I am totally offended that Nye gets...

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla.- Two trucks hauling a couch potato's dream of beer and chips collided in an accident that shut down southbound lanes on Interstate 95 for nearly four hours and sent snack food and drinks spilling out on the highway. The drivers of the semi-tractor trailer and the box truck were not seriously injured. A clean-up crew was called in to help remove the spilled beer and snack chips. "We had a front-end loader come out and scoop all of the beer and chips and pushed them to the right shoulder. We have two of the three lanes open...

The main front in the legal war over President Barack Obama's immigration policies may have moved to the Supreme Court, but a federal judge in Texas isn't letting that stop him from taking up a curious side issue in the case: whether birther Orly Taitz and controversial Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio are entitled to join the fight. Both sides in the lawsuit that halted Obama's latest round of immigration moves nearly a year ago have told U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen they want the case put on ice until the Supreme Court announces whether it will take up the major...

The state of California just approved a $34.7-million tax break for electric car manufacturer Tesla Motors to expand the company’s production capability by another 35,000 additional units per year. As a result, Tesla will be exempt from paying sales and use taxes on its planned purchase of $415 million in new manufacturing equipment, which California estimates will result in a $24-million economic boon to the state’s economy.

HAVERHILL — Shortly after police charged Richard Chase with selling illegal drugs, they said they searched his apartment and found $15,000 in cash, hundreds of Oxycodone pills, a police scanner and a list of area police scanner frequencies. Before he was arrested, Chase used his government-provided EBT card to buy food at a convenience store, police said. When he was arrested, police found the Electronic Benefits Transfer card — otherwise known as food stamps — on him along with a receipt for his purchases. Chase told police “you got me” and said he’s been unable to find a job.

Texas Republican congressman Ron Paul pointedly refused to endorse his party's presidential contender, Mitt Romney, arguing that neither he nor President Barack Obama would make necessary cuts to public spending that would avert a fiscal catastrophe. "No," the iconoclastic Libertarian bluntly told CNBC’s "Futures Now," when asked about whether he was prepared to endorse Romney. He accused both the former Massachusetts governor and the president of being captive to similar interests.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Overwhelmed and saddened by the gargantuan size of the Gulf oil spill? A little mathematical context to the spill size can put the environmental catastrophe in perspective. Viewing it through some lenses, it isn't that huge. The Mississippi River pours as much water into the Gulf of Mexico in 38 seconds as the BP oil leak has done in two months. On a more human scale, the spill seems more daunting. Take the average-sized living room. The amount of oil spilled would fill 9,200 of them.
