The United States has just endured the most expensive midterm elections in history. Most of us are tired of campaign commercials and are glad that they no longer run on television. But we fool ourselves if we think the commercials are really over or that the campaigning is limited to the two months leading up to election day. The commercials continue, if only in different forms. Political commercials have, somehow, taken over nearly every facet of our lives and every activity we experience. This infestation has happened so gradually that we barely notice how thorough the campaigning has become. We...

It’s important to laugh at liberals, which is why liberals want to stamp out laughter. Laughter is subversive. Back when comedy was funny, before it got woke, the left used to use it to undermine traditional culture. Now that they have the wheel of the cultural car, they are afraid that people pointing and giggling at their hypocrisy, venality, and stupidity will make them lose control and crash.Hence, comedy must die.Sadly, it’s the comedians themselves who are carrying the wood to pile up around the stake. Now that liberals are firmly in control of the culture, comedy is no longer...

The study suggests that telling small, insignificant lies desensitises the brain to dishonesty, meaning that lying gradually feels more comfortable over time. If we think of the gigantic progress made by the "gay liberation" movement in just a few decades or even years, we are astonished. The idea of homomarriage would have been unthinkable 20-30 years ago when homosexuals themselves were declaring their opposition to this institution, and even 5 years ago it would have been difficult for it to become part of the UK law. It has required a social re-education programme of vast proportions, a cultural war for general sexual freedom, of which homosexual "liberation" is part. One method of crucial importance and psychological effectiveness employed by the homosexual...

From time to time, I have been highly annoyed with the school that my daughter attends. I have set up meetings with teachers, principals, and administrators. I have brought in paperwork and pleaded my case on a variety of topics. I have made scathing remarks. Once, I even had the utter audacity to argue a point with the principal with my daughter right there in the room, which is apparently a no-no because it “undermined the authority of the principal”. However, I haven’t yet gone on a rampage against which the police would need to come in and defend the...

Law Enforcement Targets, Inc., a company that sells law enforcement and federal agencies “realistic” paper targets for firearms training, is providing the Department of Homeland Security with images of “non-traditional threats.” The people in these images are most likely Americans, with such images as “’pregnant woman threat,’ ‘older man with shotgun,’ ‘older man in home with shotgun,’ ‘older woman with gun,’ ‘young school aged girl,’ ‘young mother on playground,’ and ‘little boy with real gun,’” writes Paul Joseph Watson on Tuesday. What if I told you police in your town could desensitize themselves to the idea of shooting a (armed) child, pregnant woman, or young mother, for just a couple of bucks? The "No More Hesitation" series from Law Enforcement Targets Inc. offers exactly that. For less than 99 cents per target, police can shoot at real-life images "designed to give officers the experience of dealing with deadly force shooting scenarios with subjects that are not the norm during training." Update: The marketing team at Law Enforcement Targets, Inc. sends along this helpful explanation for the "No More Hesitation" series: "The...

There is much speculation about whether or not Sarah Palin will enter the 2012 GOP presidential race. Those who admire and respect her believe she wields a tremendous amount of power with regard to the choice of the candidate who will eventually end up facing Barack Obama in what can only be the most important election of our lifetime. But that candidate should not be Palin. And the reason is blatantly obvious. She can't win. It has nothing to do with any lack of political gravitas. Despite how her critics and detractors have attempted to portray her, Palin is intelligent,...

Costa Rican artiste Guillermo Habacuc Vargas is making headlines for tying a dog from the street in an art gallery as part of an exhibit to starve it to death. The title of his exhibit "Eres Lo Que Lee" was written across the gallery in dry dog food. The food and a bowl of water were both out of the dog's reach. Eventually the animal died of starvation. The artist claimed the dog was sick and would have died anyways. Now Vargas has been selected to represent Costa Rica in Visual Arts Biennel of Central Americas 2008. The organizers have...

Daily Mail UK 8th February 2007 As three men are convicted of planning 'another Soham', a blistering attack on the sexualising of the young By BEL MOONEY Object to sexualised images such as the photos of Girls Aloud posing as "sexy schoolgirls" and you'll be derided as a prude. But the truth is they're poisoning our culture ... and turning every child into a potential sexual target. How fitting it was that he made terrifying masks for sick horror movies for a living. His head was full of even sicker horror as he plotted the torture, rape and murder of...

Earlier this summer, I wrote a column in which I concluded that the veracity of military recruiters compares favorably to that of most American colleges and universities. Scott Key of Fresno Pacific University’s faculty had claimed that the former were misleading. “All branches of the military have increased the size of cash bonuses,” he wrote, but added, “It is important to note that taxes will be taken out of these bonuses.” “Are you suggesting that a tax cut is in order for these troops?,” I asked him in an e-mail on June 26th. By the time that I posted my...

May 14, 2004 -- Iraq's feared Abu Ghraib jail was one big sex romp - sometimes by candlelight with an audience watching, U.S. troops said yesterday. Sex and alcohol were commonplace, and soldiers frequently set up candlelit rooms for voyeuristic sex shows, said a soldier who served at the notorious prison.

In 1971 researchers at Stanford University created a simulated prison in the basement of the campus psychology building. They randomly assigned 24 students to be either prison guards or prisoners for two weeks. Within days the "guards" had become swaggering and sadistic, to the point of placing bags over the prisoners' heads, forcing them to strip naked and encouraging them to perform sexual acts. The landmark Stanford experiment and studies like it give insight into how ordinary people can, under the right circumstances, do horrible things — including the mistreatment of prisoners at the Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq. What...
