Dr. Susan Desmond-Hellmann – a member of Pfizer Inc.’s Board of Directors – previously served as the Lead Independent Director at social media giant Facebook. Don't be fooled by the Americans behind the camera. In today's Hollywood, there's one director -- and that's China. As important as U.S. audiences are, filmmakers know there's a bigger one. And they're willing to do anything they can to tap into it, even if it means becoming co-conspirators with one of the most evil censorship operations in the world. It's the biggest partnership no one knows about, and according to some experts, the most dangerous. The majority of Americans probably have no idea when they buy a ticket to the latest blockbuster that the film they're about to see...

Ohio --(Ammoland.com)- I’m writing to you to ask for your support. My name is LINDA WALKER and I need your vote for the NRA Board of Directors. When you receive the ballot, either in the mail or in your NRA publication, please cast your vote for me. As an ardent Second Amendment supporter, I am saddened by the erosion of our US Constitutional Rights over the years. The recent events in Tucson, as well as the Virginia Tech shootings, Colorado church murders, Columbine massacre, and other horrific events, have taught Americans nothing. For too long, anti-gun advocates have played on...

Just hours after National Intelligence Director James Clapper made the shocking statement this morning that the Muslim Brotherhood is a “secular” organization, his office tried frantically to “clarify” his remarks. In a statement to ABC News, Jamie Smith, director of the office of public affairs for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, said Clapper was commenting on the political system in Egypt rather than the make up of the group itself: To clarify Director Clapper’s point — in Egypt the Muslim Brotherhood makes efforts to work through a political system that has been, under Mubarak’s rule, one that...

VENICE (Reuters) - Top directors used the Venice Film Festival on Friday to excoriate the Bush administration, the war in Iraq and Hollywood itself, and presented three starkly different movies to express their views. Oliver Stone, in the canal city for the European promotion of "World Trade Center", said he was worried about when, if ever, the "war on terror" would end. "Many of us are concerned that it could get worse," he told reporters after a screening of his film, which has already been released in the United States. "I think things have gotten very dark," he said. "The...

"Titanic" director James Cameron, warning that Hollywood is "in a fight for survival," wants the movie industry to offer films in digital 3-D to counteract declining sales and rampant piracy. "Maybe we just need to fight back harder, come out blazing, not wither away and die," Cameron said during his keynote address Sunday at the National Association of Broadcasters' Digital Cinema Summit. "D-cinema can do it, for a number of reasons, but because d-cinema is an enabling technology for 3-D. Digital 3-D is a revolutionary form of showmanship that is within our grasp. It can get people off their butts...

Tragic that some of the most compelling facts in the Terri Schiavo case didn’t emerge before she reached death’s door. While the mainline media was probing whether the world’s most famous hospice victim had really told husband Michael she would not want to live in a persistent vegetative state, it completely missed the ties of Michael Schiavo’s lawyer to the very hospice where the life-and-death drama played out. See The Proof Today! From February 13, 1997 to about April 26, 2001 Attorney George Filos was listed as a member of the Board of Directors for "The Hospice of the Florida...

Readers are all over me for calling the Board of Directors of the California GOP “nuts” this morning. Okay, the members of the Board aren’t actually insane—Duf Sundheim, the chairman of the party, is a lawyer here in Palo Alto whom I know to be hard-working and public-spirited, a man who is only too happy to perform an unpaid job that lots of people wouldn’t touch. But I still think endorsing Arnold was a whopper of a mistake. How come? As far back as the 1966 gubernatorial campaign of Ronald Reagan, the California GOP has been divided into two camps,...
