A liberal critic of my comments on "The O'Reilly Factor" this week tweeted his displeasure with my assertion that factions of the "Left" and "some liberals" sympathized with Chris Dorner and even made him into a folk hero. He asked for examples. Here's one:CLICK ABOVE LINK FOR THE VIDEO It's hard to imagine how Marc Lamont Hill could have put this more appallingly. One member of the panel starts by rather sensibly bemoaning the waste of life, manpower, and ink in this chase. Hill responds: "There's no waste here, though. I mean, this has been an important public conversation that...

LA Police Chief Charlie Beck has made a bad decision. Life is a series of decisions. No one should understand this more than Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck. For obvious reasons, in any situation your ideal position is one of “win or break even.” Those who are in the public area, especially big city police chiefs, more often than not find themselves in the opposite position; “lose or break even,” but that’s part of the job. Since the “lose or break even” dilemma is virtually unavoidable as a rule, voluntarily placing yourself in one is especially foolish. When the...

Murderous ex-cop Christopher Jordan Dorner wanted to go out in a blaze of glory — and the sheriff’s deputies who surrounded his California mountain hideout provided the flames.

The San Bernardino County cops torched the wooden cabin with highly flammable “incendiary tear gas” as Dorner took refuge Tuesday, apparently burning him to a crisp.

The husband and wife who say they surprised Christopher Dorner in their home, hours before he was killed in a dramatic standoff, described their terror as he bound their hands and feet. Jim and Karen Reynolds say they came to the home just before noon on Tuesday to find the fugitive had been staying in an upstairs room. Mrs Reynolds said that Dorner seemed 'calm and methodical' when he approached them, but her first instinct when she saw him was to run away - and Dorner chased after her. She tried to run up the stairs but was quickly caught...

The Los Angeles Police Department ceased to be an active force for justice on March 4, 1991, when George Holliday turned over his amateur video of Rodney King’s arrest to the Los Angeles TV station KTLA. With tape in hand, the media began what the late Christopher Dorner might call a surge of “unconventional and asymmetrical warfare” against the LAPD and police departments everywhere. As in the Trayvon Martin case, the media edited and presented the tape to reinforce its favorite template: evil white racists oppress innocent minority. I say “asymmetrical” because in the King case, unlike the Martin case,...

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- There was no question. The man standing before Rick Heltebrake on a rural mountain road was Christopher Dorner. Clad in camouflage from head to toe and wearing a bulletproof vest packed with ammunition, the most wanted man in America over the last week was just a few feet away, having emerged from a grove of trees holding a large, assault-style rifle.

The day after “killer cop” Christopher Dorner was presumably killed following a firefight in a rural California cabin, conspiracy theories have swept Twitter asserting that the charred body found in the burned cabin did not belong to Dorner, but to an unidentified female. A Twitter hoax quickly gained traction on Wednesday, stating that a burned body found in the remains of the cabin did not belong to Christopher Dorner, but rather to an unidentified female. The hoax quickly swept Twitter under the guise of a fake screengrab from CNN. In the fake image, CNN’s news ticker was edited to read...

The discovery of a man who police believe to be Christopher Dorner began when two maids ran into him Tuesday morning as they arrived to clean a vacant cabin in the Big Bear area near where the fugitive ex-cop’s car was set ablaze last week. The two maids entered a cabin in the 1200 block of Club View Drive, close to Snow Summit and Bear Mountain Resort, and surprised a man who they said resembled the fugitive, a law enforcement official said. The man tied up the maids, and then took off in a purple Nissan parked near the cabin, authorities...

A six-day California manhunt ended Tuesday with rogue ex-cop Christopher Dorner apparently dying in a cabin fire on Bear Mountain. One of many big questions to be answered is how the deadly fire was started. Multiple unconfirmed audio clips appear to show police officers talking about burning down the cabin in which the alleged cop-killer was hiding. Deliberately starting a fire, rather than waiting out the suspect, could be seen as an extreme measure. ---(snip) In an unconfirmed video showing live footage from KCAL9 Los Angeles, officers are apparently caught in the background around the 20 second mark saying, "burn...

Panelists MC Lyte, Jack Moore, Editor of BuzzFeed Sports, Lauren Ashburn, Editor-in-chief at The Daily Download, and Mark Lamont Hill joined Brooke Baldwin on CNN today to talk about the social media support for alleged quadruple killer Christopher Dorner. Ashburn was the only one on the panel who had a problem with the alleged cop killer being celebrated saying that he crossed a line when he began killing people to get his revenge for his alleged grievences. The rest of the panel concluded that Dorner "had a point" and that the unfolding story was theatric. Hill said that the saga...

Charred human remains have been found in the burned cabin where police believe fugitive ex-cop Christopher Dorner was holed up after trading gunfire with law enforcement, authorities said. If the body is identified to be Dorner’s, the standoff would end a weeklong manhunt for the ex-LAPD officer and Navy Reserve lieutenant who is believed to be responsible for a string of revenge-fueled shootings following his firing by the Los Angeles Police Department several years ago. Four people have died, allegedly at Dorner’s hands.

There are some crazy people out there misusing firearms, all right. But they aren’t the kind of people who will be unable to murder, maim and commit mayhem under the new proposed restrictions on the possession of firearms. They are, interestingly enough, irrational leftists – if that’s not a redundancy. Take the example of Christopher Dorner, the former Los Angeles cop who has killed at least four people and swears he will continue his war on the LAPD until he dies. Have you read his manifesto? Have you seen his grievances? He actually seeks to use his violent actions with...

BIG BEAR LAKE, Calif. — As police scoured mountain peaks for days, using everything from bloodhounds to high-tech helicopters, the revenge-seeking ex-cop they wanted was hiding among them, holed up in a vacation cabin across the street from their command post. It was there that Christopher Dorner apparently took refuge last Thursday, four days after beginning a deadly rampage that would claim four lives. --snip-- He never emerged from the ruins and hours later a charred body was found in the basement of the burned cabin along with a wallet and personal items, including a California driver's license with the...

A million dollar reward was offered by the LAPD for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Christopher Dorner. This story was published in the LA Times on 10 February, 2013. The maid that surprised Dorner and told the police where he had been hiding was instrumental in ending the manhunt. However, the report said that the reward would be for information leading to the "arrest and conviction" of Dorner. It was always highly doubtful that Dorner would ever be convicted, because it was highly doubtful that Dorner would ever be captured alive. Will the unnamed maid who escaped...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNk-bV40XMc&feature=youtu.be From KCal 9 News around 1:30 PM PST - Sorry, I don't own a PVC so I had to use my phone. I have this footage saved on my DVR. Edit: To address comments: No, I did not edit this. This is recorded with my cellphone. This was recorded by reporter Carter Evans. It is not radio chatter that is being heard. He says earlier in the broadcast, (which I can also upload) that he is speaking to them via his speakerphone on the ground from the middle of the shootout, and the cops can also be heard telling...

While law enforcement officials scoured the hillsides above Big Bear on Tuesday for murder suspect Christopher Dorner, wardens from California's Department of Fish and Wildlife were called in to patrol the rugged terrain of Highway 38. It was on that highway that the officers first encountered Dorner, engaging the former cop in a white-knuckle chase involving two commandeered vehicles. The pursuit culminated in what officials described as a wild shootout between Dorner and a state game warden. The actions by alert wildlife officers may have set in motion Dorner's last stand — in a snowbound cabin, surrounded by police. The cabin...

Wow. I just read Dorner's manifesto in detail and was flabbergasted. What in the world is our modern society coming to? To be honest it reminded me (on reflection) very much of what I read years ago about the Columbine killers. There are honestly a growing group of people in this world who believe that if everything doesn't go their way - it's basically authorization to go wild and take muderous retribution...

It appears a drone controlled by a Chinese agent masquerading as a journalist has shown the last minutes of Dorner's life as he shot himself and was burned in the ensuing fire he set when teargas was lobbed into the cabin. Sources say agent Man Hi Pau Pau was able to observe first hand the final scene in the Dorner cabin standoff incident at Big Bear.
