London, Aug 11 (PTI) Symbolising the growing bilateral ties, Britain has decided to ease sanctions against India relating to civilian nuclear energy ahead of Prime Minister Tony Blair's visit to New Delhi. "The government has notified Parliament yesterday about the significant changes in its laws regarding the export of dual-use nuclear technologies to India," a Foreign Office spokesman said today. The British decision comes close on the heels of the Indo-US nuclear deal paving the way for supply of nuclear fuel to Tarapore and other reactors, ending the three-decade-old freeze.

BEIRUT: At exactly 12.55 p.m. a crowd of tens of thousands of people went completely silent, whereas a second before they were screaming out their hunger for "freedom, sovereignty and independence." Seven days after the assassination of former premier Rafik Hariri, tens of thousands of Lebanese carrying anti-Syrian banners swarmed the seafront area where Hariri was killed last Monday, roaring thundering chants of "Yalla, Syria out." "We have had enough of Syrian secret intelligence ruling our country and killing those they don't like," shouted Joseph Njeim, as he distributed black and white flags printed by university students with the slogan:...

You've written a nice long post that took you awhile to complete (or perhaps another smartass one-liner). You hit the preview button, and it looks good. Then you hit the post button and: The page cannot be displayed There is a problem with the page you are trying to reach and it cannot be displayed. The question is....did it post, or did it not post? If it did, and you hit that post button again, you're going to get a double post, and people are going to talk about you. :) If it didn't, and you don't hit that button....you...

Mecca Cola gives taste for anti-Americanism By Philip Delves Broughton in Paris (Filed: 01/01/2003) Mecca Cola's red and white label, its fizz and dark, sweet taste make it startlingly similar to Coke. But Mecca Cola is far from the Real Thing. It is, said its creator, a "rejection of American politics, imperialism and hegemony and a protest against the Zionist crime financed and supported by America". Two million bottles have been sold since it was launched two months ago in France and orders are pouring in from around the world. "I got faxes last night from China and Australia and...
