I was shocked to find that the NRA has endorsed Baron Hill for IN-9. This is insane, with a good Republican (Sodrel) who could have been endorsed in a very close election. Granted, Hill has only a 36% rating from the Brady Campaign, but our solid Republican representatives all are down in the single digits (with Pence leading the way with a 0% rating -- way to go Mike!). GOA gave Hill a D- in their 2007 rating, but apparently the NRA thought he was good for an A in 2008. I've always been in the "NRA is one of...

Sorry folks, but I can no longer lend my support to the War on Terror. I'm tired of being lied to by our elected leadership. What am I talking you about, you ask? Specifically, when I'm a told by the President of the United States, that Islam is a "Religion of Peace". How am I supposed to square that statement with reality? How am I supposed to support the decision and policies of our government in waging war when our leaders can't even begin to tell the truth about the enemy we're fighting? If the president fears he may offend...
  • Bush says Muslim welcome to head UN

Bush says Muslim welcome to head UN (AFP) 11 July 2006 WASHINGTON - US President George W. Bush said he did not oppose the idea of a Muslim being the next UN Secretary General as long as they were willing to “blow the whistle” on human rights abuses. At the same time, he told a small group of reporters on Monday, two days before leaving for Germany and a group summit in Russia, ”we’re really looking in the Far East right now” to find a successor to UN chief Kofi Annan. But asked whether he would oppose a Muslim in...

RUSH: There are Republicans planning to abandon George W. Bush in droves, particularly during this election year. Bush has had it, a 36%, 33% approval rating. The guy's an albatross around their neck. "We've got to get out of there! We don't want Bush doing anything but raising money for this," blah, blah, blah, blah. There's precedent for this. By the way, a couple of pollsters saying it's a bad move for the Republicans. You know, Republicans, I'll just give you some advice right now. All of you Republicans in Congress -- including you, Chuck Hagel and Olympia Snowe and...

CANCUN, Mexico - President Bush said Friday the United States believes it is important to enforce laws protecting borders and told the leaders of Mexico and Canada that was crucial to keeping prosperity alive. ADVERTISEMENT He also reiterated strong support for a "guest worker" program that would allow undocumented immigrants already in the United States to remain in the country to fill low-paying jobs that Americans won't take. Bush declined to say whether he would veto legislation that did not contain such a provision. "I want a comprehensive bill," Bush said at a joint news conference with Mexican President Vicente...
