SNIPPET: "‘Tis the season for cyber-invasions. Not to be outdone by the Faloja forum’s Nusra2 Facebook invasion, a senior member of the Shumukh forum, Hafid al-Husayn, has proposed sending 100,000 emails to university professors, students, and employees containing “pictures of slain Americans and films of the mujahids’ triumphs in the Islamic State of Iraq and Afghanistan.”" SNIPPET: "Jihadis generally have a reputation for being more savvy communicators than the U.S. and its allies. A campaign like this will tarnish that reputation because its intended effect–the demoralization of the emails’ recipients–will have the opposite impact during the holiday season."

Last Thursday's presidential debate was still in progress when the e-mails started trickling in from citizens around the country. At 8:28 p.m. CST, Catie Tierney of Douglas, Ga., wrote: "John Kerry did an AMAZING job tonight. His arguments were valid and very well-said. I sincerely hope he wins the election this fall. Next up, Anne Horton Wood of Knoxville, Tenn.: "John Kerry...

Political candidates now spamming for votes Experts say e-mailing is quick, inexpensive method of contacting potential supporters for trib: Political candidates spamming for votes PASADENA -- Jeff Marksbury was paying no attention to the race for Los Angeles County District Attorney until two weeks ago, when one of the candidates sent him an unsolicited e-mail. But the 56-year-old Pasadena computer systems analyst was sure of one thing after the second one arrived: He would vote against the candidate who had sent it. More galling to Marksbury was that his e-mail address, along with thousands of others, had been sold to...

A few weeks ago Dick Morris wrote an article about how his firm helped Mike Huckabee win the recent election by using a targeted e-mail campaign. I've looked everywhere and cannot find it. Did anyone else save it? It doesn't seem to show up in the Morris archives yet.I hope some of the brilliant Freepers saved this piece. Thanks in advance if you are willing to share it.
