Britany Jacobs, the girlfriend of the man shot and killed in a Florida parking lot last week, says her boyfriend was just coming to her defense and the gunman “wanted someone to be angry at.” Now she wants “justice,” she says. Jacobs, who witnessed the shooting along with the couple’s 5-year-old son, said she and her two small children were waiting in the car for her boyfriend, Markeis McGlockton, while he ran into a convenience store in Clearwater, Florida. Onlooker Michael Drejka got out of his parked car and began “harassing” her about being parked in a handicap space, she...

Wisconsin Sen. Lena Taylor was cited for disorderly conduct for allegedly berating a bank teller, but an attorney for the Milwaukee Democrat is seeking to quash the citation. Vincent Bobot said Taylor was given a civil citation Friday by a Milwaukee police officer on the scene but was later told by an unnamed supervisor in the Police Department that the citation was being reviewed. A spokeswoman for Milwaukee police has made no comment on the incident.

We interrupt your DACA, government shutdown, feminists are still whiny b!tchs, and politicians generally suck news to honor a hero. I’ve already put a call into the Vatican to beatify this man when God welcomes him home. First, the setup.

Sheila Jackson Lee has been a congresswoman for over 20 years. However, she acts far more like an arrogant monarch than a humble servant of the people. The Texas Democrat has regularly abused her power and position to demand and receive special treatment from private companies, demean and harass subordinates, and reap untold benefits of being “The Queen.” When her abusive behavior comes to light, Jackson Lee often claims her opponents are racist. Jackson Lee’s most recent abuse of power comes at the expense of teacher Jean-Marie Simon who was allegedly bumped from her first class seat when Jackson-Lee demanded...

New York activist Tamika Mallory says she was booted from an American Airlines flight in Miami after a pilot inserted himself into a dispute over her seat assignment. Mallory, a co-chair of the Women’s March on Washington, was traveling home to New York when the pilot followed her to scold her over an argument she had with a gate agent. He then had her summoned from her seat and kicked off the flight, she told the Daily News. “It definitely was white male aggression. I was singled out, I was disrespected, and he was trying to intimidate me. I was...

Puerto Rico officials say it will likely be four to six months before power is fully restored across the U.S. territory of 3.5 million people. The island’s faltering electrical grid, now crippled by the twin blows of Hurricane Maria and Hurricane Irma, already was struggling to keep the lights on after a history of poor maintenance, poorly trained staff, allegations of corruption and crushing debt. As recently as 2016, the island suffered a three-day, island-wide blackout as a result of a fire. A private energy consultant noted then that the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority “appears to be running on...

Seven Signs of Liberal Privilege Alongside accusations of racism, sexism, homophobia, and Islamophobia, we can now list “white privilege” and “male privilege” as ideological weapons that the far left uses in their nonstop attacks on America’s culture. Rather than going on the defensive against the left’s latest accusations, however, the rest of us should see the tactic for what it is and for what it reveals about the need to confront a much more pervasive problem: liberal privilege. It is important to see the left’s privilege offensive in its broader strategic context. The left’s accusations of white privilege and male privilege...

Friendship is unlikely to blossom in one university dorm room this semester after one of its occupants sent an aggressive list of demands to her roommates before even meeting them. The message, sent by a UCLA freshman known only as Ashly, was shared by one of its two recipients on Twitter in a post which has now been seen by thousands. One of Ashly's new roommates, 17-year-old Winnie Chen, an aspiring make-up artist from Los Angeles, took to the social media site after being left in total shock by the email which, she says, was sent because Ashly's earlier messages...

It would be easy to call protesting college students crybabies and brats for pitching hissy fits over hurt feelings, but this likely would lead to such torrents of tearful tribulation that the nation's university system would have to shut down for a prolonged period of grief counseling. Besides, it would be insensitive. Instead, let me be the first to say: it's not the students fault. These serial tantrums are direct results of our Everybody Gets a Trophy culture and an educational system that, for the most part, no longer teaches a core curriculum, including history, government and the Bill of...

On July 15 in Durant, Oklahoma, President Obama announced ConnectHome, describing it as: … a new initiative with communities, the private sector, and federal government to expand high speed broadband to more families across the country. ConnectHome is aimed at low-income areas with little broadband uptake, expanding several earlier federal programs. The headlines are about connecting the poor to the modern convenience of the internet, but they don’t mention who’s paying for it. As with most federal programs, you are. Is ConnectHome worth the costs, and what are they? So far, the ConnectHome website is thin on details. (It’s even...

Know your place, peon! You may not approach Chelsea Clinton. If you need to contact her, you can only do so indirectly through a producer. Never face to face which is for ordinary people. Those were the instructions for Chelsea's co-workers at not only NBC News but also at the management consulting firm at McKinsey where she briefly worked. Apparently Chelsea's attitude is so toxic that even dedicated liberals at the Clinton Foundation have split rather than having to deal with Chelsea according to a New York Post report:

Unbelievable Video. Call it the parking job seen 'round the web. A video has gone viral of D.C. Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton executing an objectively poor parking job -- even by Washington standards. The incident, and video, were first reported by Roll Call. A tipster was apparently on the scene and watched as Norton angled her car into a diagonal spot near Capitol Hill, ending up practically perpendicular to the surrounding vehicles. The tipster told Roll Call this was around the time of Afghan President Ashraf Ghani's address to Congress on Wednesday.

WASHINGTON (AP) — White voters of all ages were less likely to back Democrats this year than in elections past, helping Republi5395a874abffae2b640f6a70670072dccans nationwide but most acutely in the South — and overpowering Democratic efforts to turn out their core supporters among Blacks and Hispanics. In a nation growing ever more diverse, political forecasters repeatedly warn Republicans they must improve their appeal among minorities in order to remain competitive in the long term.

Louisville, Kentucky - Tracy Browning, a 38-year-old Louisville woman, was jailed after she allegedly tried to purchase several iPads with a food stamp card, then fled to another location where she tried to make the same transaction. According to Louisville police, Browning went to the Valley Station Walmart and tried to purchase two iPads with an Electronic Benefit Transfer card. When the transaction was denied, she assaulted a store clerk, pushed another employee to the ground and fled from the store with the merchandise. Investigators say Browning went to another Walmart in the area a short time later and again...

Obama: 'Looks Like I'm Going to Be Spending New Year's Here in D.C.' Daniel Halper December 31, 2012 2:12 PM President Barack Obama tipped his hand today during a speech at the White House ... about how he plans to spend this New Year's Eve. "Democrats and Republicans in Congress have to get this done," Obama said, according to a rush transcript, referencing the ongoing "fiscal cliff" talks. "But they're not there yet. They are close, but they're not there yet. And one thing we can count on with respect to this Congress is that if there is even one...

Mayor Cory Booker is known for his social media savvy, having helped direct emergency services in Newark, New Jersey to stranded citizens during snowstorms and field questions during Hurricane Sandy. Now he's taking the talk offline as he bet a Twitter trash-talker that he could live healthfully on food stamps for a month. The Democratic politician got into a dispute with a woman on Twitter who took issue with his dispelling of some free advice via Plutarch. 'An imbalance between rich and poor is the oldest and most fatal ailment of all republics,' Booker wrote on Sunday morning. User @MWadeNC...

OAKLAND -- Clipboards in hand, high school seniors Estephania Franco and Jocelyn Sanchez approached a group of UC Berkeley students sitting on a curb in Sproul Plaza. "Hey guys, you want free tuition?" one of them asked. "Free? Tuition?" sophomore Josh Netter asked, as if waiting for the punchline. "I just feel like it's too good to be possible." It wouldn't be -- if, by June, supporters of the "College for California" ballot petition managed to gather the signatures of 807,615 people registered to vote in California. And, of course, if voters approved it. The proposed constitutional amendment, researched and...

He came to the United States as a fourth-grader who spoke only Spanish. He needed a year to learn English, then refused to let anything slow him down again. He became the 2004 valedictorian at Armwood High School in Seffner, an anthropology major at New College, a law student at Florida State University. He passed the bar exam last year on his first try. But when he applied for admission to the Florida Bar, José Godínez-Samperio was stopped in his tracks. The Florida Board of Bar Examiners refused to consider his application, instead asking the Florida Supreme Court to settle...
