A bank robbery suspect was shot today in Everett after he lunged at an officer with a knife while fleeing the crime scene, a city official said.

 It took a Snohomish County Juvenile Court judge about 35 seconds Tuesday to decide he didn't believe Aiesha Steward-Baker's story. After about two hours of testimony, Judge George N. Bowden convicted the 16-year-old of second-degree robbery, saying her testimony lacked credibility, and that she had lied either to police or to the court. An Everett woman who posed as a teenage boy was arrested Sunday for allegedly molesting a 14-year-old girl who believed the older woman was her boyfriend. Lorelei Josephine Corpuz, 30, lived for more than a year as a 17-year-old boy named "Mark," according to papers filed in Everett District Court. As "Mark," Corpuz persuaded the girl's family to let "Mark" live in their home as the girl's boyfriend. Corpuz claimed to be an orphan, police alleged. A Pakistani immigrant accused of burning down his grocery store in Everett and trying to make it look like a hate crime has been convicted of arson. Mizra Akram, 40, could face as much as five years in prison for the crime. U.S. District Judge Marsha Pechman convicted him Wednesday.
