Voters in Huntington Beach approved a measure this week that limits what flags can fly on city property. Measure B passed with more than 58% of the vote following Tuesday’s polling, according to the Orange County Registrar of Voters election results. Part of the measure states that only the United States flag, the State of California flag, the County of Orange flag, the City of Huntington Beach flag, the POW-MIA flag, the six Armed Forces flags and the Olympic flag during the Summer Olympic Games be displayed on City property.

The Republican-led Tennessee House passed a bill that would ban pride flags from being displayed in school classrooms. The House passed the bill in a 70-24 vote on Monday that sent the legislation to the Senate, where a final vote could happen as early as this week. Known as House Bill 1605, it states schools 'shall not display any flag other than the United States flag and the official Tennessee state flag on or in a public school.'
