North Korea has warned it will not be intimidated by Donald Trump's threats in an "unprecedented" letter sent to other countries. "If Trump thinks that he would bring the DPRK, a nuclear power, to its knees through nuclear war threat, it will be a big miscalculation and an expression of ignorance," the letter said. "Trump threatened to totally destroy the DPRK ... it is an extreme act of threatening to totally destroy the whole world." The document was published by the Sydney Morning Herald and has been verified by Australia's foreign ministry. Foreign minister Julie Bishop described the missive as...

North Korea said on Saturday that firing its rockets at the U.S. mainland was "inevitable" after U.S. President Donald Trump called Pyongyang's leader "rocket man," in a further escalation of rhetoric between the two leaders. North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho's remarks before the United Nations General Assembly came hours after U.S. Air Force B-1B Lancer bombers escorted by fighter jets flew in international airspace over waters east of North Korea, in a show of force the Pentagon said demonstrated the range of military options available to Trump. "Through such a prolonged and arduous struggle, now we are finally...

President Trump said he would “be honored” to meet with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un amid heightened tensions over the rogue regime’s nuclear weapons program, a new report said Monday. “If it would be appropriate for me to meet with him, I would absolutely, I would be honored to do it,” Trump said in an interview with Bloomberg News. “If it’s under the, again, under the right circumstances. But I would do that.” North Korea has become the most urgent national security threat and foreign policy issue facing Trump as his first 100 days in office passed. Kim’s regime...

Like his predecessors, Donald J Trump is trying to figure out how to handle North Korea’s provocations – the country may be preparing for its sixth nuclear test – and how to compel China to help constrain Pyongyang’s nuclear ambitions. On Sunday, the Pentagon deployed a strike group moving towards the western Pacific, because “it is prudent” to have the ships near North Korea, said national security adviser HR McMaster. In response, on Tuesday North Korea’s state media threatened that they could “hit the US first”, adding that “pre-emptive strikes are not the exclusive right of the United States”. By...

What was supposed to be a happy visit with Santa left a bad taste in the mouth of a 9-year-old boy in North Carolina. That’s because the jolly old fat man reportedly shamed the child by telling him to “lay off the hamburgers and french fries,” local station WLOS TV reports. On Saturday, Anthony Mayse of Rutherfordton went to a Christmas event in nearby Forest City. The family enjoyed a carriage ride and ice skating before ending the night with a visit to Santa.

By now, except in the Hillary Clinton propaganda mills, it is pretty well established that Donald Trump is going to get at least 20% of the Black vote and Clinton cannot break 75% with African Americans. This is a full 15 points below the bare minimum she needs to have a chance to win in November. Nevertheless, the crafty Goebbelsesque media presents this and other “horse races” within this election as one requiring Trump to get 51% or be defeated. This same twisting of the truth would produce a headline saying “Trump down in 8 of 9 important states,” which...

Michael Moore is calling for the removal of any members of Congress who do not support a bill to ban all assault weapons, following the Sunday morning mass shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Fla., that left 49 dead. "Any member of Congress who hasn't announced support for a bill to ban all assault weapons by Friday should be removed from Congress," the Academy Award-winning documentary filmmaker tweeted Tuesday evening. Democrats have in the past called for renewing a federal ban on assault weapons following mass shootings.

Welcome to the meme jungle Axl Rose. A less than flattering photo of the Guns N' Roses front man is being used for a series of mean memes, and now the singer is reportedly trying to get the image scrubbed from the internet. According to the Washington Post, a batch of DMCA copyright notices were filed on behalf of Rose and sent to Google requesting the removal of the photo that sparked the "Fat Axl" memes because of copyright infringement. The memes change the lyrics to Guns N Roses songs to poke fun at the picture of Rose, who is...

Filmmaker Michael Moore has no doubt that Donald Trump will become the GOP’s 2016 presidential nominee. “Donald Trump is absolutely going to be the Republican candidate for president of the United States,†he said, according to Business Insider. “It’s gone from being a joke to becoming a serious reality,†Moore added. "Also, I think people are feeling more and more that we’ve moved back into a darker time.†Moore then admitted that he is concerned about rallying the Democratic voter turnout necessary to defeat Trump next year. “His numbers are high because they are polling Republican voters, or likely Republican...

Washington (CNN) CNN is amending the criteria for its Republican presidential debate on September 16, possibly opening the door for Carly Fiorina to join the other top-tier candidates on the stage. The cause: a lack of national public polling following the August 6 debate has so far provided only three new polls to determine the lineup for the Reagan Presidential Debate, according to a CNN statement. As a result, CNN reevaluated its criteria and decided to add a provision that better reflects the state of the race since the first Republican presidential debate in August, the network announced Tuesday. Now,...

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is helping the Republican National Committee with a series of Texas fundraisers next week as he seeks a second term in his home state. Christie is headlining three fundraisers in Texas for the RNC on Sept. 9. Organizers say the events include a breakfast in Dallas, a luncheon in San Antonio and a reception in Houston.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie conflated statistics when he claimed Sen. Rand Paul’s “pork-barrel spending” is the reason Kentucky receives more federal funds than New Jersey for every tax dollar it sends to Washington. The figures cited by Christie are affected very little by pork-barrel spending. Moreover, Senate Republicans have imposed a voluntary ban on earmarks — otherwise known as pork-barrel spending — since the Kentucky senator took office in 2011. So Paul hasn’t brought any of the traditional pork-barrel spending to Kentucky.Paul also added some confusion to the issue when he seemed to suggest that Kentucky’s ratio was the...

Kim Jong Un building 'mini world' with replica Big Ben and Eiffel Tower Chubby tyrant Kim Jong Un is building a “miniature world” in North Korea – with a replica of London's Big Ben at its heart. The dictator is set to open the theme park in capital Pyongyang – and has included the iconic clock tower. The new attraction, which opens this year, will also boast a copy of Paris’ Eiffel Tower. The secretive state famously doesn’t allow its citizens to leave the country – so it appears Jong Un has decided to bring the world to his people....

Gov. Chris Christie is seriously rethinking his months of denials and may launch a campaign for the White House after all, a source close to the governor said tonight. In the last week, Christie has been swayed away from his earlier refusals to run by an aggressive draft effort from a cadre of Republicans and donors unhappy with the GOP field, said the source, who was not authorized to speak publicly and requested anonymity.

AS a schoolboy in Jakarta, Barack Obama attended Muslim prayer sessions with his classmates against the wishes of his mother. The US President's former grade three teacher said that Mr Obama - who was known as "Barry" when he attended the Menteng One school in Jakarta - studied the Koran and went to classes on Islam, despite the objections of Anne Dunham, a Roman Catholic. The teacher's recollections will add to speculation about Mr Obama's links to Islam during his much-anticipated visit to Indonesia, the world's most populous Muslim nation, as part of his ten-day tour of Asia. His middle...

Howie thread starting with his Sunday Herald column. By the way starting tomorrow, the Felon, Tom Finneran loses a half hour of his show--or technically an hour. He is moving to 5:30-9 am (from 6-10 am) so Ingraham will now have all 3 hours of her "healthy radio addiction" 9-noon. And from what I hear, the 5:30-6 am segment will be a "radio rewind" of the previous day's show so now FelonMan, with his new permanent co-host Todd Feinburg, will only have to do 3 hours every day. Nice work if you can get it Mistah Speakah! In the dreaded...
