Republican Senator Marco Rubio of Florida refused to answer whether he believes Donald Trump was wrong to pressure Vice President Mike Pence to reject the outcome of the 2020 presidential election, pointing instead to the prospect of the former president’s potential 2024 campaign.

If Section 3 of the 14th Amendment is used to remove Trump from the ballot in the 2024 election, it won’t stop there. It will be used against everyone who supported “the insurrection” on January 6. Imagine how broadly giving “aid and comfort” to Trump challenging the 2020 election can be interpreted. This also demonstrates how strong opposition has become. Even their election adjustment machine can’t help them anymore.

Green Semidouble IN THE WESTERN CHURCH, this Sunday is called that of the two masters, because of the Gospel which is read upon it. The Greeks give it the name of the Sunday of the Invited to the Marriage-feast, or the fourteenth of Saint Matthew, unless the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross happen to fall during the ensuing week. In this latter case, this and the following Sundays are called of the Exaltation, and take for their Gospels the first from St. John, the second from St. Mark. After this, follow the Sundays called of Saint...

Political bridge-building is usually considered a good thing, but when the “bridge” you are building is the abridgement of the separation of powers, not so much. More Obama Domestic Abuse: Now Look What You Made Me Do… on tap. In an alarming development, word comes from Mark Levin and others in Congress that the President is prepping to raise the debt ceiling unilaterally. You know — usurping the power of the purse granted solely to Congress. That ladies and gentlemen, is impeachment worthy. Mark Levin gets it and America better pay attention: OBAMA: “An economic shutdown, that results from Default,...

July 9, 2006 Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time Psalm: Sunday 29 Reading 1Ez 2:2-5 As the LORD spoke to me, the spirit entered into meand set me on my feet, and I heard the one who was speaking say to me:Son of man, I am sending you to the Israelites, rebels who have rebelled against me;they and their ancestors have revolted against me to this very day.Hard of face and obstinate of heartare they to whom I am sending you. But you shall say to them: Thus says the LORD GOD! And whether they heed or resist—for they are a rebellious house—they...

Q: Do aliens count as "persons" under the 14th amendment's apportionment of representatives? This is an interesting recurring question I get every once in a while and, unfortunately, been too occupied to answer. There has been talk to change "persons" under section 2 of the 14th amendment to read "citizens." Michigan Republican Rep. Candice Miller introduced a constitutional amendment last year that would change the 14th amendment to allow only "citizens" to be counted instead of "persons." The section in question reads as follows: Representatives shall be apportioned among the several states according to their respective numbers, counting the whole...

Mr. RARICK. The Unconstitutionality of the Fourteenth Amendment by Hon. Leander H. Perez The deterioration of every government begins with the decay of the principles on which it was founded. -- C.L. de Montesquieu The purported Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution is and should be held to be ineffective, invalid, null, void, and unconstitutional for the following reasons: 1. The Joint Resolution proposing said Amendment was not submitted to or adopted by a Constitutional Congress as required by Article 1, Section 3, and Article V of the U.S. Constitution. 2. The Joint Resolution was not submitted to the President for his...
