Back in the mid-1990s, I lived in Chicago's Hyde Park neighborhood. My wife was a medical student at the University of Chicago and I worked as a newspaper reporter. Some good news on the "birther" front: a Deseret News/KSL-TV poll finds that only 9 percent of Utahns (13 percent of Republicans) "don't believe the president was born in the United States." The biggest population of Obama doubters in the Beehive state?
