Once again demonstrating that Martin Bashir represents the bottom of the admittedly deep MSNBC barrel . . . On his MSNBC show this afternoon, Bashir suggested to a female guest that by his questioning at the Senate confirmation hearing of John Brennan, Senator Marco Rubio sought to demonstrate that he had "very strong testicles." Bashir elicited nervous laughter from guest Karen Finney. View the video here.

With civil unrest breaking out all over the Middle East and Africa sending oil and gas prices through the roof, one could make the case that Barack Obama more and more is looking like Jimmy Carter. On this weekend's "Chris Matthews Show," the liberal host made it seem that this is even on his mind as he made a rather telling slip of the tongue (video follows with transcript and commentary):

Freudian slips may haunt Obama By: Keith Koffler November 15, 2010 04:36 AM EST President Barack Obama, fresh from his drubbing in the 2010 midterms, is trying to revive his fortunes by pursuing a path toward the middle. But Obama’s effort to overhaul his image is encumbered by conflicting impressions of who he is that have been engraved in voters’ minds by his own words. During unguarded and even some staged — but inadvertently revealing — moments, Obama has allowed unintended glimpses into his thinking. At various times, his offhand comments have led critics, and many voters, to view him...

In an unfortunate turn of phrase, the Turkish ambassador to Washington twice said Friday that the terrorist group Hamas is a necessary and important part of the "final solution" to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. "Final solution" was the phrase Adolf Hitler adopted to describe his plan to exterminate the Jewish people. "For a final solution, you cannot ignore Hamas. That's what we are saying," said Ambassador Namik Tan. "This is not the first time that we are trying to bring this into the discussion. We have told this to the Israelis, to our American friends, to our international interlocutors, everyone. How...

Barry Obama has slipped on his own faith by saying "John McCain has not... talked about... My muslim faith" Of which Stephanopolous carried the water and corrected him by saying "Christian faith". I think this is a VERY telling freudian slip by Barrack.
  • Kerry Campaign Logo and Viet Cong Flag (Vanity?)

Driving into work this morning I was stuck for several minutes (a long stoplight) behind a brand new Jag with a Kerry bumper sticker on it. The longer I stared at the bumper sticker, the more I thought it resembled (or at least was suggestive of) the Viet Cong flag. I present the evidence to a candid audience for review and commentary. Or maybe I'm just letting my imagination get the better of me out of spite and disgust for having had to stare at the bumper sticker for several minutes - and on a Jag, to boot.
