  • Priority for Students of Color in returning to public K-12 school

From the Educrats in Washington State: Reopening Washington Schools 2020 District Planning Guide. The phrase “students of color” occurs six times. Good news for Rachel Dolezal: white students will be home driving parents crazy while “students of color” will enjoy in-person instruction and socializing with other students. If that isn’t specific enough, “Prioritize face-to-face service for students that are most impacted by the loss of in-person services, including: … Students of color” (“intersectionality” is involved, which presumably is a positive for the job market for PhDs in comparative victimhood) I wonder if this is another good example of what Sweden...

Hi Guys, I found this in the attic. My father was in the WWII and he made Normandy. This emblem is on a dark green "Genuine Basque Beret" that was made in England. I searched the whole internet and can't identify it. I even tried google image search. Thank you The patch has a black background. The two gold stripes are outlined with red stitches. The rest is gold stitches.
  • Rush Limbaugh: Trump's un-conservative attack on Ted Cruz raised a red flag for me

Via MFP, six months after the birth of Trumpmania, this is what finally raised a red flag? Trump arguing that Cruz is a bit of a “maniac” for taking on the entire Senate when it might pose a problem for a president who’ll need friends in Congress to help him pass his agenda? Guy Benson wrote this last week about Trump’s many admirers in conservative talk radio: Here’s how the coy game has worked: When Trump is right, they praise him. Fine. When Trump is factually wrong, while making an argument that may contain a “larger truth,” they justify his...

Finally! I have proof positive that Obama was born in Kenya! I guarantee that this will hold as much credibility in a court of law as the Rather National Guard letters or the COLB that Obama posed on Kos.

The selection of Sarah Palin works, on many levels and in many ways.  McCain knew what he was doing when he picked her. Consider all the ways in which Palin helps the Republican ticket. Women voters know not only that the election of McCain likely will lead to the nomination of Sarah Palin as the Republican nominee in 2012 or 2016, but the election of McCain-Palin may well mean that the nominee of both major political parties in 2012 will be a woman:  Palin, if McCain decides not to seek another term, and Hillary, who would be the presumptive favorite for...

U.S. Rep. Duncan Hunter plans to make his Republican presidential bid official at a Spartanburg, S.C. breakfast meeting Thursday. The 14-term conservative from California set up his presidential exploratory committee last week. Hunter has made no secret of his White House aspirations. He announced his intentions in October, becoming the first GOP candidate to declare a presidential run, and then began making stops in early primary states, including Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina. He is scheduled to return to New Hampshire on Monday to repeat his announcement. Little known outside of Congress and his San Diego district, Hunter can...
  • Will Microsoft muzzle the software that cries wolf?

July 19, 2006 (Computerworld) -- Despite the criticism leveled at Microsoft Corp. after the recent rollout -- and rollback -- of Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA), experts say that effort was just the first phase in the company's latest antipiracy effort, dubbed the Genuine Software Initiative. In fact, the initiative -- which will include a similar campaign in the near term called Office Genuine Advantage (OGA) to fight piracy of Microsoft's dominant productivity software suite -- is tied in the long term with how Microsoft and other vendors will sell and deliver software. "It's getting to the point where we're getting...

Sometimes you get to wondering about emails you receive -- especially in the political blogsphere. One email which ended up in my inbox has got me to thinking: Is this a legitimate email, a plea for help from genuine Iranian dissidents, some crazy rant/fatwa by Islamists, or yet another in a string of Internet scams? I've been receiving emails over the last month from "goftare nik" (moslem11@gmail.com) which is addressed to hamahd19@yahoo.com, a mailing list which must somehow contain my own email address. The subject line of the email is "(( raahbare mellate iran agha pro.ebrahim mirzaie))," which obviously pertains...
  • Microsoft braces for user backlash over downloads

The next time you visit the Web site of Microsoft Corp. to download some software, be prepared to let the world’s biggest software company have a look inside your computer. In a determined strike to quell the proliferation of counterfeit software, Microsoft is now requiring that all customers coming to its Web site for upgrades and other downloads submit their computers to an electronic frisking. If you use one of the estimated 100 million PCs running pirated software, don’t expect your upgrade. For Microsoft, the new policy is a stepped-up effort to combat the loss of billions of dollars’ worth...

WHEN ELVIS PRESLEY STROLLED onto the stage for his last performance, there was something different about him. His face had swelled, and his gut was pregnant with obesity. His hair and signature sideburns overran his head and face, and his movements, karate kicks, and hip swivels, were no longer crisp or energetic. He could still sing--he never lost that--and he still had a charismatic stage presence, and he could still send fans into a frenzy. But for years leading up to his death, it seemed the brightness that once shone from this superstar came more from his sequin-adorned jumpsuits than...

To: Movie theaters across the fruited plain We, the undersigned, recognize that though our nation is not perfect, far too many negative stories about America are being raised in the media. Often times, the crafters of this garbage stretch the truth in order to paint an extremely unfair picture of what America is. Michael Moore’s new film is just the latest media jab at President Bush and his noble efforts to protect Americans from those who cowardly wear masks and behead human beings in an effort to impose their way of life on all “non-believers.” We believe that the Arnot...
