SNIP Page Six was inside the Riverside Memorial Chapel early Thursday, where we witnessed the comedian’s loved ones share heartfelt stories that made guests both laugh and cry. Gottfried’s longtime pal Jeff Ross specifically had the crowd in stitches, eulogizing his “brother” – who died on Tuesday at the age of 67 – as a man “survived by his wife, and sister, two great kids and over 12,000 little bottles of shampoo.” SNIP “Gilbert took the pain out of our worst tragedies,” he shared, adding that the famously offensive comic “practically started cancel culture when he got fired from playing...

Raspy-voiced comedian and character actor Gilbert Gottfried has died at the age of 67, his family announced in a heartfelt message with a photo of the funnyman on Twitter. The comedian died Tuesday due to complications from muscular dystrophy, his friend and publicist Glenn Schwartz said in a statement. Gottfried voiced the animated character Iago in the 1992 film Aladdin and also was behind the Aflac Insurance duck mascot. 'We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved Gilbert Gottfried after a long sickness,' the family tribute said. 'In addition to being the most iconic voice in comedy, Gilbert...

Wrath of God or natural disaster? When it comes to Japan, Glenn Beck won't claim it's the former, but can't tell you it's the latter. "I'm not saying God is, you know, causing earthquakes," Beck told his radio listeners on Monday, before throwing in, "I'm not not saying that either." "What God does is God's business. But I'll tell you this -- there's a message being sent," Beck continued. "And that is, 'Hey you know that stuff we're doing? Not really working out real well. Maybe we should stop doing some of it.' I'm just saying." Beck's comments, which led...

Many know what they’re going to get with Gilbert Gottfried – a crude, often inappropriate act, but one he has done well with for 20 years. After making some “mean-spirited” Twitter jokes about victims of the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan, Gottfried was fired by Aflac, where he had been the voice of the company’s duck mascot. Gottfried has since apologized — but received a curious defense from “The View” co-host Joy Behar. On the Wednesday broadcast of “The View,” co-host Sherri Shepherd said Aflac knew what it was getting when it signed Gottfried, but wondered aloud whether it...

By Michael Ventre MSNBC contributor updated 2:25 p.m. CT, Tues., Sept. 9, 2008 At a Friars Club roast of Hugh Hefner three weeks after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, comedian Gilbert Gottfried not only pushed the envelope, he set it on fire. He was at the podium, about to launch into the abundantly filthy “Aristocrats” joke that inspired an entire documentary film, when he mentioned that he had tried to get a direct flight “but they said they have to stop at the Empire State Building first.”
