Over the past two years or so, the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) influence over governments and institutions of sovereign nations has become increasingly apparent. Founded in 1971 by German economist Klaus Schwab, the WEF has remained fairly under the radar for decades. However, the organization has been quietly expanding its icy grip around the throats of the world’s population by installing operatives in the upper echelons of governments and corporations. This influence has expanded so far that Schwab and his allies appear to have given up trying to conceal their agenda and even openly gloat about controlling nations’ leaders. When...

The ultra-wealthy elites of Martha's Vineyard launched a GoFundMe fundraiser over the island's "humanitarian crisis" of (*finger-counts*) 50 migrants sent ashore by Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL). That's right. The trust fund babies and Old Money socialites on Martha's Vineyard, a well-known magnet for millionaires, CEOs, and celebrities, were soliciting online donations from middle-class Americans on the crowdfunding platform. As of Friday afternoon, the affluent community's "urgent plea" has raised over $42,000. The proceeds are benefiting the Martha's Vineyard Community Foundation (MVCF) whose mission includes putting "charitable contributions to work for the people of Martha's Vineyard by making grants that address...

Katelyn McClure's story about a down-on-his-luck hero who'd spent his last $20 to help a stranger inspired thousands to contribute to a GoFundMe campaign that soon topped $400,000. Her claim that she'd run out of gas on Interstate 95, where the homeless veteran came to her rescue, went viral in 2017. But after all the media frenzy, it turned out to be mostly bogus - and a huge chunk of the funds raised had been used on a luxury car, clothes, vacations and trips to casinos, federal prosecutors said. Now, McClure has been sentenced for her role in the three-person...

Those who most flamboyantly proclaim that they are fighting fascists continue to embrace and wield the defining weapons of despotism. When it comes to distant and adversarial countries, we are taught to recognize tyranny through the use of telltale tactics of repression. Dissent from orthodoxies is censored. Protests against the state are outlawed. Dissenters are harshly punished with no due process. Long prison terms are doled out for political transgressions rather than crimes of violence. Journalists are treated as criminals and spies. Opposition to the policies of political leaders are recast as crimes against the state. When a government that...

And Now, It’s Economic Warfare With the world reopening, and even US blue states and cities repealing mandates, how optimistic should we be? A little bit is warranted but not that much. What we are seeing right now in Ottawa reveals the hegemonic depth of the system that gave us lockdowns, then mandates: it is now capable of freezing your accounts and essentially starving you and your family. It’s economic warfare. This was a wild conspiracy theory last year. Now it is very obvious that this is where many governments want to go. We’ve seen examples just in the past...

James Comer (R-Ky.) on Thursday called on House Democrats to hold a hearing on what they said was GoFundMe's selective discrimination in canceling the "Freedom Convoy" campaign by Canadian truckers. "We write to request that you hold a hearing to examine yet another incident of Big Tech silencing certain viewpoints in potentially unlawful ways. This time GoFundMe Inc. is selectively discriminating against certain people by cancelling their ability to organize funds through its crowdfunding platform," Scalise and Comer wrote in their letter to House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-S.C.) and Rep. For all the company’s efforts to shut down freedom-minded Canadians, GoFundMe has done plenty to help unsavory fundraising campaigns on the left. While GoFundMe races to confiscate millions of dollars from Canadians protesting the country’s coercive Covid response, the left-wing fundraising site has proven itself very willing to help raise funds for criminal riots, abortions, and genital mutilation. “We now have evidence from law enforcement that the previously peaceful demonstration has become an occupation, with police reports of violence and other unlawful activity,” GoFundMe wrote in the company’s Friday announcement that it would steal millions from the truckers participating in...
