TAMPA - Police arrested former New York Mets pitcher Dwight Gooden on domestic violence charges early Sunday on Harbour Island. Tampa police reported the incident occurred at 1 a.m. at 501 Knights Run following an argument between Gooden and his ex-wife, Monique Moore. Police said Moore threw a telephone handset at Gooden, and he punched her face with a closed fist, resulting in a bruise. Moore refused medical attention and Gooden was arrested and booked, police said.
