These idiots never learn. Switched on FOX News and there was RINO Ryan, et al, calling for a compromise bill to legalize and grant amnesty to 1.8 million dreamers. Hell no!! Send Obama's illegal aliens back! Obama's DACA is unconstitutional. Hold their feet to the fire (again)! No amnesty!! Not under Bush. Not under Obama. And certainly not under Trump! Build the wall, enforce the law, deport them all!! End sanctuary cities, end anchor babies, end chain migration, end DACA!! And don't break up families. Deport them all!!

Mitt Romney is mapping out plans to become a major player in the Senate — positioning himself to be the spokesman of a listless Republican Party establishment that’s been steamrolled by President Donald Trump. The failed presidential candidate turned Utah Senate hopeful has made it clear to senior party officials that he intends to make a splash with his all-but-certain arrival on Capitol Hill next year, according to nearly a dozen senators, major party donors and confidants who’ve spoken with him.

It was likely always going to be an uphill battle for establishment candidate Adam Putnam in the race for Florida governor. Yes, the state commissioner of agriculture has raised a lot of money from special interests in Tallahassee, but as we’ve seen in recent history, no amount of money can paper over a problematic record that, in Putnam’s case, includes support for amnesty (both the Arlen Specter-sponsored immigration bill in 2006 and the so-called Gang of 8 measure in 2013), opposition to E-Verify, -----------snip--------- "But what really will be responsible for sinking Putnam’s candidacy is the hostility he has demonstrated...
  • Trump's tariff on Canadian newsprint is killing US newspapers, Republicans warn

    Washington Examiner ^ | 06/08/2018 | Pete Kasperowicz
A dozen House lawmakers have introduced legislation to remove President Trump's tariffs on Canadian newsprint so a study can be done on how much those tariffs are crushing local newspapers around the country. The bill, introduced by Rep. Kristi Noem, R-S.D., is a response to the 22 percent tariff that the Trump administration has imposed on some Canadian newsprint since the beginning of this year. Noem said that tariff has led to rising costs for local newspapers, and are a threat to their survival. "In recent years, new tariffs on Canadian newsprint have increased paper prices by 20 to 30...

President Trump is correct. If an FBI -- or any “Deep State” -- informant was embedded within his campaign for the express purpose of spying on it, that would be a scandal “Bigger than Watergate.” Bigger and much more chilling. Over the course of the last two years, I have communicated with current and former government employees who told me that a number of operatives at various three-letter agencies have been actively working to undermine first the presidential campaign of Donald J. Trump, and then his presidency. Most of them are Obama appointees. All of them doing so for political...

Like most Cuban-Americans, I have friends and relatives down in South Florida. I speak often with them on the phone. On Friday morning, a Cuban friend told me that Governor Scott could end up as the next senator from Florida. I was surprised to hear it, but my friend referred me to an article from the Tampa Bay Times:

NY Times ^ | Apr. 28, 2018 | Jonathan Martin, Alexander Burns and Maggie Haberman
President Trump is privately rejecting the growing consensus among Republican leaders that they may lose the House and possibly the Senate in November, leaving party officials and the president’s advisers nervous that he does not grasp the gravity of the threat they face in the midterm elections. Congressional and party leaders and even some Trump aides are concerned that the president’s boundless self-assurance about politics will cause him to ignore or undermine their midterm strategy. In battleground states like Arizona, Florida and Nevada, Mr. Trump’s proclivity to be a loose cannon could endanger the Republican incumbents and challengers who are...

Mitt Romney did not win the Utah Republican Party's nomination on Saturday, meaning he must compete in a June primary election as he seeks to replace retiring US Sen. Orrin Hatch. After a wild and raucous day of voting at the Utah GOP convention, the former Massachusetts governor and 2012 Republican presidential nominee was unable to win the 60% that he needed to head to the November ballot unopposed. When none of the 12 candidates were able to cross that threshold, the party continued with successive rounds of caucus voting until one candidate reached 40%. On the second round of...

Former presidential candidate Evan McMullin owes his former campaign staff members tens of thousands of dollars and most believe he has no intention of ever paying them, a former campaign worker tells The Daily Caller News Foundation. Right before McMullin’s failed bid for president in 2016 as the conservative alternative to President Donald Trump, the campaign was inundated with debt. The disastrous fiscal situation was a combination of frivolous spending by McMullin and his campaign manager Joel Searby, according to the former staffer.

“When we rush to pass bill that a lot of us don’t understand, we are not doing our job.” ~Speaker Paul Ryan, 2015 This is it. For this budget bill, Republicans had sole possession of the ball, and of course, they have tossed an interception. The only question now is whether Trump will need to hear a raucous rebellion from his voters before he changes his mind and finally uses his veto pen. Rather than spending the weeks leading up to the budget deadline outlining their vision for the country in terms of spending priorities and policies, the GOP used...

A former congressman from Hawaii said Monday he’s leaving the Republican Party because of President Donald Trump and the failure of fellow party members to stand up to him. Charles Djou, who represented Honolulu in the U.S. House from 2010 to 2011, wrote in an opinion piece published in Civil Beat on Monday he’s disturbed that the Republican Party under Trump has become hostile to immigration.

When is someone going to label our current political situation with the FBI, DOJ, CIA, MSM, Dem Party, etc., for what it is - a Coup d'état? America is famous for doing this in most every continent and country in the world. Why would we think that an out of control government wouldn't do this at home?

Memo to President Trump: Shut up and govern. Memo to congressional leaders, Cabinet members, and senior White House staff: If President Trump orders the firing of special counsel Robert Mueller, mass “honor” resignations by Cabinet officials and staff should follow, and an impeachment inquiry should immediately commence. Important clarification: An impeachment inquiry is just that — an open investigation, not a show trial with a predetermined outcome.
  • No Clear G.O.P. Successor in Line After Mayor's Win (2005 Bloomberg Flashback)

Through four straight mayoral contests, the Republican line on New York City election ballots has yielded gold: four straight wins for G.O.P. candidates in a city where declared Democrats make up the overwhelming majority of voters. Those wins have not, however, yielded an obvious successor to Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, whose name -- because of term limits -- will not be on the ballot come November 2009. Indeed, while the city's political elite has long since begun speculating about likely Democratic candidates for 2009, the roster of presumptive Republican aspirants is rather thin. "I couldn't project who could follow his...

It has largely slipped under the radar screens of partisan hatred in Washington, but has anyone noticed that in the last couple of months Donald Trump has become . . . a Democrat? Of course, for most of his life, Trump was a Democrat, a faithful fundraiser for Chuck Schumer and Hilary Clinton, and comfortably liberal in most of his positions. But once he decided to run for president as a Republican, he underwent a total transformation, becoming an arch-conservative. And during his first year in office, he governed like a conservative Republican, slashing taxes and regulations, appointing conservative judges,...

WASHINGTON — Over the past week, congressional Republicans have gotten a glimpse of the President Trump they hoped to never see. On gun safety and, more significantly to many of them, trade, the president has loudly broken with longstanding party orthodoxy and reminded Republican leaders on Capitol Hill that they can never be 100 percent certain of what they are going to get with the onetime New York Democrat. Despite such worries, Mr. Trump’s first-year actions on policy and personnel — particularly judicial nominees — provided substantial reassurance to congressional Republicans. They concluded that Mr. Trump was really one of...

I’ve been saying for a while now that too many scammers and opportunists have been taking advantage of the Tea Party and conservative grassroots. But the most illuminating thing in the piece is simply this table:It shows what each organization spent on 2014 cycle “followed by how much each PAC gave to politicians either directly or through independent expenditures on their behalf. Then, last but not least, we have the percentage of their money they spent that actually went into independent expenditures & direct contributions." ". . . the 10 PACs at the bottom of this list spent $54,318,498 and...
