Last week Politico reported on an explosive in depth investigation surrounding how the former President Obama administration allowed the terrorist group Hezbollah to continue a multinational drug running and money-laundering operation to fund terrorism in order to negotiate a nuclear deal with Iran. Awan, a Pakistani immigrant, was formerly employed by more than 30 House Democrats as an IT technician. CNN's Christiane Amanpour this week became the first person in news media since the 2016 presidential election to interview Hillary Clinton. She blew it. Instead of pressing the former secretary of state for her honest thoughts on last year's circus of an election, and pushing hard for meaningful answers to thoughtful questions, Amanpour behaved like a public relations representative, gently floating safe and friendly questions of no real news value or substance.

Donald Trump is meeting with his harshest critics Monday and the people who arguably got him elected ... the media. Sources in Trump's camp tell us ... he's meeting with all the network heads Monday at 1 PM ET, and Trump will not hold back. Tuesday at the Los Angeles International Airport, CNN anchor Jake Tapper told TMZ the media made “mistakes” while covering the 2016 presidential election. Tapper said, “I think there were a lot of media mistakes this season in all sorts of directions. I think polling needs to be re-examined quite a bit.” He added, “Certainly there is a lot of people whose behavior and professionalism this election season should be re-examined and thinking about how to be better and how to do it better.”

The American public thinks the media wants Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton to win by an almost 10-to-1 margin, according to a new poll. The Suffolk University/USA Today poll released Friday asks, "Who do you think the media, including major newspapers and TV stations, would like to see elected president: Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump?" Of the 1,000 adults surveyed, 75.9 percent answered Clinton, while just 7.9 percent picked Trump, the Republican nominee. Just more than 16 percent of respondents chose either "neither" or "undecided."

For supporters of Donald Trump who are discouraged by the latest slate of polls showing Hillary Clinton up 5 percent just days before Election Day, polling guru Nate Silver had some reassuring words Sunday morning. "Some people are saying Clinton's up 5-6 nationally. That's just not a good representation of what the data says," Silver tweeted. But, he admitted, Clinton does have a lead.
