I'm not sure that I've ever posted a chat/vanity, so here goes: I've seen a lot of news articles and posts recently that refer to "socialized" health care. Maybe I've been missing something, but I don't recall hearing this term "socialized" (anything) used too often before. In fact I don't recall hearing the term "socialized" used in any other context except maybe for pet animals. "Socialized" health care? What's that mean? It means nothing, it's an MSM term used to obscure reality. And the reality is that our Socialist President and our Socialist U.S. Congress and their MSM enablers are...

Apparently the American Medical Association has weighed in on the proposed universal health care plan. The Allergists voted to scratch it, but the Dermatologists advised not to make any rash moves. The Gastroenterologists had sort of a gut feeling about it, and the Neurologists thought the Administration had a lot of nerve. The Obstetricians felt they were all laboring under a misconception. Ophthalmologists considered the idea shortsighted. Pathologists yelled; "Over my dead body!" while the Pediatricians said, 'Oh, Grow up!" The Psychiatrists thought the whole idea was madness, while the radiologists could see right through it. Surgeons decided to wash...

...Obama and Democrats rushed that Stimulus, remember? Told you it was going to save your job. How's that working out for ya?!? They didn't want anyone to debate that, either. They locked 40 percent of your representatives out of deliberations. They didn't want discussion...
  • Government 'fixing health consultations' with taxpayer-funded groups(UK)

The Government has been accused of fixing the outcome of public consultations on health policy after it emerged that reviews were flooded with block votes from groups funded entirely by the taxpayer. Earlier this month the Health Secretary, Alan Johnson, announced that the display of cigarettes and tobacco in shops would be banned in England and Wales from 2011. He added that people wanting to buy cigarettes from vending machines would in future have to show proof of age to obtain a token to activate the machine, and machines could be banned altogether in the future. Mr Johnson boasted that...

This is an article filled with good links, that demonstrates Obama's effort to pretend to offer us a choice, but really the supporters of socialized medicine are out of the closet on the destruction of private health care as a whole. It is not about the efficacy of socialized health care, it is about showing how we are not really being offered a choice, and it demonstrates the slipping support for the plan. http://www.examiner.com/x-14881-Political-Buzz-Examiner~y2009m6d25-Obamas-Health-Care-Reform-debacle

Vitamin warning for liver lovers People should limit eating liver to once a week and be careful about other sources of vitamin A, say food experts. Too much is toxic and increases the risk of bone fractures, according to advisers to the Food Standards Agency. Combining supplements with vitamin A-rich foods such as liver is particularly risky, the Scientific Advisory Committee on Nutrition says. Post-menopausal women and older people at highest risk of fractures should not have more than 1.5mg per day, it says. Safe limits The draft recommendations reinforce current advice that pregnant women and women trying to conceive...

Note: As an organic farmer, Mark Purdey resisted the order to spray his cattle with organophosphates for warble fly and went to court for a judicial review; he won and was exempted from using the spray. No cows born in his herd developed BSE (mad cow disease). He has contributed numerous articles on the subject of BSE to scientific journals. He farms in Somerset, UK. This article appeared in Wise Traditions in Food, Farming and the Healing Arts, the quarterly magazine of the Weston A. Price Foundation, Spring 2000 As the first snowstorm of winter hit the isolated hill where...
