Toddler killed by vehicle; driver who stayed on scene shot to death. A driver in Milwaukee was fatally shot Sunday afternoon when he stayed on the scene after his van struck and killed a 2-year-old child, Milwaukee police said. A 15-year-old at the scene was also shot and was taken to a hospital. Capt. An Arab driver swerved into a group of people, mostly women and girls standing at a Gush Etzion Junction (Tzomet HaGush) bus stop. Two little girls, step sisters, were playing in a pile of leaves in their yard when, from seemingly out of nowhere, a vehicle came careening through, hitting and killing them both. Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters announced the indictment of a man suspected in a hit-and-run crash that killed a 3-year-old boy. Prosecutors said Rodolfo J. Temaj-Felix, 24, was behind the wheel of a car that ran a red light on April 2. The car then struck two people in a crosswalk on Westwood Avenue -- 3-year-old Shakir West and his mother, Niya Taylor -- as they walked to day care. West died from his injuries. A TV news producer may have been killed by a hit-and-run driver outside his Greenwich Village apartment Monday morning, police said. Eric Wishnie, 44, was crossing at Sixth Avenue and 10th Street when he was allegedly struck at 3:05 a.m., according to authorities. Wishnie was a producer for NBC News. OAKLAND – A California Highway Patrol officer struck by a car whose driver left the scene died yesterday morning. Officer Brent Clearman, 33, a decorated Marine sharpshooter and Iraq war veteran, was investigating an accident Saturday night on an Interstate 880 on-ramp when he was struck by a Buick LeSabre. TEMPE, Ariz. — Rob Targosz, a Gilbert police officer, was struck by a speeding vehicle on Saturday at 6:35 p.m. He died seven hours later at Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn Hospital.
