The director of Enid’s Gay, Lesbian, Bi-Sexual and Transgender Center was arrested Monday by Enid Police Department detectives on a complaint of lewd molestation of a minor child. Nathan R. Bowen, 32, was arrested Monday after speaking with Detective Nick John, who is investigating the case. Police received a complaint Monday of a 15-year-old boy being molested at the center, 1317 S. Van Buren. John served a search warrant at the center and spoke with Bowen, who said he was the center’s director. No bond has been set for Bowen, and formal charges have not been filed.

Scandals involving the sexual abuse of under-age boys by homosexual priests have rocked the Roman Catholic Church. At the same time, defenders of homosexuality argue that youth organizations such as the Boy Scouts should be forced to include homosexuals among their adult leaders.
