I have an older relative who is running Internet Explorer 8 on a Windows XP machine. She is finding that she can no longer load many of her favorite sites (no surprise there). So it's time for a new browser. However, it took her quite a while to learn IE: how to add to Favorites, adjust the text size, etc. So I'm hoping there is a replacement browser out there that closely resembles her comfortable old IE 8. Any ideas would be very much appreciated!

The end is finally in sight for Microsoft’s long-fraught Internet Explorer. For some reason FR & Google are okay, but any other website, including small private sites, connect and then quickly disappear and I get a message that the tab has been recovered and immediately get the following message: We were unable to return you to yahoo.com.(or whatever) Internet Explorer has stopped trying to restore this website. It appears that the website continues to have a problem. I ran into some of this yesterday, but it's definitely worse today.

I open Internet Explorer to any page I click any text field, and no text will appear. The only text box that works is the URL box. (I am using my wife's computer now as no text would appear in the FR text areas) I just happened this afternoon. Any suggestions appreciated.
