  • Question: Can we start calling the media "McCarthyites"?

I am not trying to debate Joe McCarthy's place in history. Thanks to Ann Coulter's book "Treason", I know he did a lot of good work. Nevertheless, his name has become associated with fearmongering. I think in that respect, the time might be right to start speaking to the #fakenews and #fakejournalists those words "Have you no decency?" Rachel MadMcCarthy, Scott PelMcCarthey, Andrea MitchMcCarthey, etc. Are we at that point, fellow FREEPers?
  • Hillary Implies That Trump Wouldn’t Leave Office After Eight Years [VIDEO] (Projection)

Hillary Clinton suggested to supporters at a Florida rally Tuesday afternoon that if elected, Donald Trump would not leave office after two terms. Clinton made the remarks following mentioning Trump’s remarks at the debate that he would leave people in “suspense” about whether he would respect the results of the elections. “I think this all started when George Washington refused to become a king. Now Donald Trump probably would have called him a loser. Instead that was one of the most important decisions any president has made,” Clinton said. “Eight years it’s time to move on, we fought a revolution...

The Donald and the Demagogues Democracies that trade substance for charisma don’t last. Trump is America’s answer to Hugo Chávez. By Bret Stephens Aug. 31, 2015 7:34 p.m. ET If by now you don’t find Donald Trump appalling, you’re appalling. If you have reached physical maturity and still chuckle at Mr. Trump’s pubescent jokes about Rosie O’Donnell or Heidi Klum, you will never reach mental maturity. If you watched Mr. Trump mock fellow candidate Lindsey Graham’s low poll numbers and didn’t cringe at the lack of class, you are incapable of class. If you think we need to build new...
  • Analysis: Vitriol, invective at the speed of light (Barf Alert! Chock full of lies courtesy AP)

WASHINGTON – Vitriol and invective stain American political history, but falsehoods, half-truths and innuendo now spread with the speed of light across partisan airwaves and the Internet — the din drowning out the country's moderate political center. Countless Internet blogs have taken on the administration of the first African-American president, claiming — falsely — that Barack Obama isn't an American citizen, is a secret Muslim, is a socialist, wants to establish death panels to decide when elderly Americans would no longer receive medical care and be allowed to die. The list is long. Most recently, a partisan furor blew up...
  • Ann Coulter Makes Liberals Screech and Hurl Invective

When liberals start caterwauling about civility, it reminds me of when my kids were young. When my daughter Anna was 5 and my son, Jonathan was 4, World War III broke out in our household at least once a day. Anna’s modus operandi, as she explained it to her grandfather, was: “I hit Jonathan. He hits me. Then I tell Mommy.” In essence, that’s the liberals’ civility scam: They hit us. We hit back. Then their media lap dogs begin howling about incivility and yapping about the decline of gentility in the political debate (which, if I’m not mistaken, started...

New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY) has long been rumored as desperately seeking the democratic nomination for president in 2008. And while many political observers fully expect the power hungry former First Lady to hit the campaign trail within only a few months of being re-elected as a US Senator in 2006, US News & World report claims to have a confirmation of sorts. From USNews.Com's Washington Whispers: Hillary's in… You don't have to take it from us about Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton 's desire to run for president. Her brothers, Hugh and Tony Rodham, say it's true. Friends...
