Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem The Acts of the Apostles
(New Testament) Acts 16 Timothy Joins Paul and Silas 16 Paul came to Derbe and then to Lystra, where a disciple named Timothy lived, whose mother was Jewish and a believer but whose father was a Greek. 2 The believers at Lystra and Iconium spoke well of him. 3 Paul wanted to take him along on the journey, so he circumcised him because of the Jews who lived in that area, for they all knew that his father was a Greek. 4 As they traveled from town to town, they delivered...

CNN’s decision to drop Marc Lamont Hill has met with resistance on the left, with some prominent progressives calling for the network to rehire him and challenging the widely held view that his comments before a United Nations panel were anti-Semitic. Harvard professor Cornel West, “Avengers” star Mark Ruffalo, Democratic Rep.-elect Rashida Tlaib, and a host of journalists were among those who rushed to Mr. Hill’s defense after CNN released the liberal commentator last week following an uproar over his speech. Mr. West said he was in “deep solidarity” with Mr. Hill, while Mr. Ruffalo said that “[c]riticizing Israel is...

W hy is it so difficult, if not impossible, to have a candid debate about the grim Israeli-Palestinian catastrophe that prevails in our midst? What stands in the way of our capacity to grasp the undeniable need for justice for Palestinians and the understandable fear of annihilation of the Jews in Israel? Is the only option a desperate Palestinian counter-violent struggle against the structural and military violence of the occupying Israeli state? The recent firing of Marc Lamont Hill by CNN for calling for a free Palestine once again opens up this Pandora’s box – with little, if any, hope...

Russian Ambassador to Israel Anatoly Viktorov told the Times of Israel on Nov. 9 that Russia does not view Hamas a terrorist group, but consider it part of Palestinian society. “We are keeping contacts with Hamas,” he added, saying the group “is a legitimate political force in Palestine.” Viktorov said labeling Hamas as a terrorist group undermines the political process, suggesting that the movement “should be involved in a possible political solution.” He further said that Israel should engage with Hamas. These statements are important for two reasons. First, the Russian ambassador is in Tel Aviv and represents the policy...

Russia has completed an elaborate air defense system in Syria that curbs the operational capabilities of both the United States and Israel, according to a report by the Washington- based Institute for the Study of War. The deployments throughout the conflict-ravaged country include variations of the advanced S-300 and S-400 systems in addition to other cutting-edge technologies. Moscow long ago exported such systems to Syria, however, they remained under the control of its own army. Only after the accidental downing in September by Syrian forces of a Russian reconnaissance plane, an incident the Kremlin blamed on Jerusalem which minutes earlier...

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem The Acts of the Apostles
(New Testament) Acts 15 Disagreement Between Paul and Barnabas 36 Some time later Paul said to Barnabas, “Let us go back and visit the believers in all the towns where we preached the word of the Lord and see how they are doing.” 37 Barnabas wanted to take John, also called Mark, with them, 38 but Paul did not think it wise to take him, because he had deserted them in Pamphylia and had not continued with them in the work. 39 They had such a sharp disagreement that they parted...

The IDF destroyed a Hezbollah tunnel that penetrated into Israeli territory south of the Lebanese village of Kfar Kila, the IDF Spokesperson's Unit announced in a statement Tuesday.

The sudden Monday meeting in Brussels between Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was widely interpreted as a signal for Israeli military action in Lebanon. Within hours Israeli media are reporting that "Operation Northern Shield" has been launched to destroy cross-border tunnels operated by the Iranian backed Hezbollah movement. Not a lot of information is being publicly released but it appears that the Israeli forces are operating on their side of the border to destroy parts of tunnels that are inside Israel's borders. Israeli farmers are being warned not to approach the border area....

MADRID — Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez’s Socialist Party took a beating Sunday in an election in Andalusia that saw the far right win seats in one of the country’s regional parliaments for the first time in decades. The Socialists (PSOE) — which have ruled the southern region uninterrupted for 36 years — came in first but could lose their grip on power if parties on the right team up against them. Juanma Moreno — the local leader of the Popular Party — said as the results came in that he would try to replace the Socialists’ incumbent regional leader,...

12 More than 200 pro-Israel activists picketed what Haaretz described as the "largest ever pro-Palestinian student conference held at UCLA," letting members of the Hamas-backed anti-Semitic hate group Students for Justice in Palestine know that their radicalism and violence against Jews and Israel supporters will no longer go unchallenged on campus. Groups supporting Israel gave the campus Left a taste of its own medicine. Turn-about is, after all, fair play. Students Supporting Israel (SSI), Reservists on Duty (RoD), and other pro-Israel groups came together in Los Angeles to protest a recent weekend conference. Literature documenting the role of Students for...

Wildfires have devastated California and killed 88 people, with the number of casualties continuously rising. Californians lost their homes, farms, and pets. Americans throughout the nation have offered assistance and contributed financially. Our hearts broke from news of the devastation. These California fires were not started intentionally. But what if we lived in fear that park fires would be started maliciously? What if we were threatened daily with arson terrorism? Arson terrorism has been a daily and agonizing reality in Israel. Israel has spent this past year under unyielding bombardment of terroristic arson. For over seven months, on a daily basis, Israeli farms,...

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem The Acts of the Apostles
(New Testament) Acts 15 The Council’s Letter to Gentile Believers 22 Then the apostles and elders, with the whole church, decided to choose some of their own men and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. They chose Judas (called Barsabbas) and Silas, men who were leaders among the believers. 23 With them they sent the following letter: The apostles and elders, your brothers, To the Gentile believers in Antioch, Syria and Cilicia: Greetings. 24 We have heard that some went out from us without our authorization and disturbed...

An informative section on Hanukah, up to about minute 14. An explanation of how Russia's engagement in Ukraine has given Israel a chance to advance its defense in the region. The fight within Islam between radical Sunni and nonradical Sunni (no, that's not a typo) and how this will lead to the move toward the false peace and the belief that the Antichrist is the messiah. A warning on the false Christs who are now among us. A blessed and important message from Amir.

And on today’s episode of “Lefty Celebs Say the Darnedest Things,” Mark Ruffalo is using his pull to gin up support for anti-Semitic professor and ex-CNN commentator Marc Lamont Hill: Criticizing the actions of Israel is not anti-semitism. Since when is advocating for human rights a fireable offense? Join us in standing in solidarity with Dr. @MarcLamontHill....

do not know if Temple University professor Marc Lamont Hill adopted his extreme pro-“Palestine-as-Arab” position due to a deep delve into the history of Zionism, Arab nationalism, and complex political and diplomatic developments in the Middle East over the past century and more, or simply because, as a self-defined progressive, he felt that must be part of his identity. Or maybe he reached out to the cause due to his own racial intersectionality. Whatever galvanized him, his speech at the United Nations not only lost him his CNN commentator’s contract, but highlighted the dangerous intellectual course that anti-Zionism has taken...

Israeli police have recommended indicting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara for alleged bribery and fraud. They are suspected of awarding regulatory favors to the Bezeq telecom firm in return for positive media coverage. Mr. Netanyahu rejected the allegations in what is known as Case 4000. The Israeli attorney-general will now have to decide whether to bring charges in the case. In February, police recommended indicting Mr. Netanyahu in two other corruption investigations......

WASHINGTON - Two police departments in the northeastern United States decided over the past week to cancel their participation in a program that involves visiting Israel and meeting Israeli police officers, due to public pressure by a coalition of progressive organisations, including a number of groups affiliated with the Boycott, Sanctions and Divestment movement (BDS).

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem The Acts of the Apostles
(New Testament) Acts 15 The Council at Jerusalem 15 Certain people came down from Judea to Antioch and were teaching the believers: “Unless you are circumcised, according to the custom taught by Moses, you cannot be saved.” 2 This brought Paul and Barnabas into sharp dispute and debate with them. So Paul and Barnabas were appointed, along with some other believers, to go up to Jerusalem to see the apostles and elders about this question. 3 The church sent them on their way, and as they traveled through Phoenicia and...
