Below is my column in The Hill on the bizarre scene last week in front of the Capitol when Rep. Eric Swalwell drove up with Hunter Biden and facilitated a flagrant act of contempt of Congress, a federal crime. Swalwell used his office and presumably his staff to assist in the defiance of a valid subpoena for Hunter to appear before a House committee. The House will now presumably hold Hunter in contempt and refer the matter for prosecution. The question is what to do with Eric Swalwell. Here is the column: This week, millions of people were glued to...

The House Ethics Committee on Wednesday voted against opening an investigation into Democrat Rep. Jamaal Bowman for pulling the fire alarm. (snip) Insurrectionist Jamaal Bowman was caught on camera pulling the fire alarm in the Cannon building after Democrats unsuccessfully tried to adjourn the House of Representatives and go home hours before a government shutdown in September. Bowman tore down emergency exit signs before he pulled the fire alarm in an effort to obstruct a crucial vote. However, he continued to lie and gaslight after he committed a crime. “You know, I don’t know why this has gotten so much...

The House Ethics Committee has opted not to open an investigation into Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) over his pulling of a fire alarm in a Capitol Hill office building while the lower chamber was preparing to vote on a bill to avert a government shutdown. On Oct. 26, Bowman pleaded guilty to one count of falsely pulling the alarm and agreed to pay a $1,000 fine as part of an agreement with DC Attorney General Brian Schwalb that will see the charges dismissed after three months. He also pledged to write a personal apology letter to US Capitol Police chief Tom Manger.“I’m...

Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) has pleaded guilty to a single misdemeanor after he was caught on videotape pulling a fire alarm in the middle of a key vote to avoid a government shutdown. The misdemeanor was the charge that I discussed when this first arose. However, the release of the videotape raises another issue: whether Bowman has clearly lied to not just the court but Congress in his account. Bowman has insisted in Congress and court that he was confused and thought that the door (closed for any purpose other than an emergency) would open if he pulled the fire...

As the House of Representatives worked to avoid a government shutdown, one member decided to create a distraction so that a vote was not taken. That is an allegation against Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) that appears to be true. There is video evidence of Bowman, a member of The Squad, pulling a fire alarm in the House. It happened in the Capitol’s Cannon building. His chief of staff confirmed he pulled the fire alarm. ... Democrat Rep. Jamaal Bowman of New York pulling the fire alarm so Democrats wouldn’t have to vote. Democrats will do *anything* to shut down the...

Rep. Jamaal Bowman's, D-N.Y., chief of staff confirmed that the congressman pulled a fire alarm in a congressional office building Saturday, and said that Bowman "regrets any confusion" over the incident. The House Administration committee announced that an investigation into the situation, which happened in the Cannon Building, is underway. Sources also told Fox News that Bowman was questioned by the Capitol Police on Saturday. "Congressman Bowman did not realize he would trigger a building alarm as he was rushing to make an urgent vote," Iddrissu wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter. "The Congressman regrets any confusion." According to...
