The White House is set to name Mike Dubke, the founder of Crossroads Media, as its communications director, sources told Fox News. Dubke was at the White House Thursday. He will replace Jason Miller, who stepped down soon after he was selected in December. Dubke has been involved in local, state and federal politics since 1988, according to his bio on Crossroads Media’s website. “His experience has brought him a unique understanding of the relationship between political strategy and public policy development,” the website read. Miller abruptly announced that he would not take the job– two days after the transition...

CNN recently rolled out an ad implying that President Trump tries to tell the American people that an apple is a banana, but that CNN is dedicated to “facts first.” The ad has been met with ridicule, as in the Daily Caller parody seen in this article. You’d think that any self-respecting journalist would run from the ad. But there was good CNN soldier Chris Cuomo echoing it on his show today. Arguing with Trump surrogate Jason Miller regarding the reliability of polls during the 2016 election, Cuomo said, “it’s apples and bananas, my friend.” View the video here.

Donald Trump hasn’t even taken office yet, but already there’s allegations of a staff sex scandal. Jason Miller abruptly resigned as White House communications director on Christmas Eve, two days after landing the coveted role, to “spend more time with his family.” Insiders had already been buzzing about married Miller “spending time” during the campaign with Trump adviser A.J. Delgado — the staffers who famously went to a strip club with the media after the final debate in Vegas. Miller’s appointment initially sent Delgado into a Twitter frenzy. She wrote, “Congratulations to the baby-daddy on being named WH Comms Director!”...

Jason Miller, who was named as White House communications director by President-elect Donald J. Trump two days ago, has informed Mr. Trump that he will not take the job, according to a statement from Mr. Miller. In the statement, Mr. Miller said he wanted to spend more time with his family. His wife is expecting their second child in January, he said. “It’s clear they need to be my top priority right now, and this is not the time to start a new job as demanding as White House communications director,” Mr. Miller wrote. A veteran of several Republican campaigns,...

... According to the operative – who ran a pro-Trump political organization prior to the “First in the South” presidential primary – many of the “new hands” ushered aboard the Trump Train in recent weeks are not loyal to their new employer. Their allegiances remain with U.S. Senator Ted Cruz of Texas – the second-place GOP finisher who bitterly denounced Trump when he dropped out of the presidential race back in May. “I told you ‘Never Trump’ would infiltrate his campaign’s most inner sanctum,” the aide told us late Monday. “And they clearly succeeded. Knowingly plagiarizing Michelle Obama’s speech? Wow.”...

SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Ted Cruz's campaign is trying to make the most of Gov. Nikki Haley's endorsement of Marco Rubio days ahead of the South Carolina primary: driving sky-high his political expectations here. "If he doesn't finish first, this is a massive loss," Jason Miller, a senior Cruz adviser, said hours after news reports began circulating that Haley would endorse Rubio at a rally Wednesday evening. "Rubio has to win here." Earlier this week, Jeb Bush had called Haley's endorsement "the most powerful, meaningful one in the state." Haley's backing of Rubio comes on top of the support of Sen....

HOUSTON — The political operation of potential 2016 presidential candidate Ted Cruz continued to beef up Monday as a top aide to former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich signed onto the senator’s team. Rick Tyler, Gingrich’s longtime spokesman who served as a top strategist to a super PAC that supported Gingrich’s 2012 presidential campaign, will join Cruz’s campaign-in-waiting to serve as a senior communications adviser. “I am honored to come on board with Sen. Cruz and join the effort to make D.C. listen to the American people,” Tyler said in a statement. “I believe he will emerge as the...
