The State Department is sending Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf - the mastermind of the Ground Zero Mosque - on a trip through the Middle East to foster "greater understanding" about Islam and Muslim communities in the United States. However, important questions are being raised about whether this is simply a taxpayer-funded fundraising jaunt to underwrite his reviled project, which is moving ahead in Lower Manhattan. Mr. Rauf is scheduled to go to Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain and Qatar, the usual stops for Gulf-based fundraising. The State Department defends the five-country tour saying that Mr. Rauf is "a distinguished...

It was primarily Christians who sought freedom of worship by coming to the New World, but since then America has flourished with just about every hybrid of religion you can imagine. And we manage to get along pretty well. Of course we must ‘endure’ overly nice people with tracts and flowers or those who woo you with green Jell-O. But bottom line, if we don’t like it, we ignore it, we shut the door, we abstain. It’s our right as Americans because we’re free to worship…or not. Lately, there’s been a new kid on the American block. Sharia, an interpretation...

No…this is not a repeat post of Muslims trying to do the same exact thing in Brooklyn NY. This time they are showing no respect to their neighbors in Chicago. Muslims are constantly demanding respect, yet they do not care about wants and beliefs of non-Muslims. Islam is one-way street, and we should return the favor. Say no to Muslim immigration, and Mosque construction. Muslim prayer center, residents collide near West Chicago By Jake Griffin | Daily Herald StaffContact writer Leaders of the Islamic Center of Western Suburbs want to convert a house at 28W774 Army Trail Road near West...

Tax-free charitable gifts along with federal grants and loans have been used to turn a section of South Philadelphia into an Islamic enclave. Universal Companies -- the charity established in 1993 by the artist formerly known as Kenny Gamble -- has spent $1.6 billion to promote Islam much of it in the 800 block of South 15th Street, according to Paul Williams , Ph.D, of FamilySecurityMatters.org. The neighborhood now has a mosque and an Islamic charter school and tough-looking security guards on corners in kufis . Gamble and Leon Huff are the founders of Philadelphia International Records and wrote some...

More specifically, he’s part of a group that’s funding another group that helped organize the flotilla. Too far removed for culpability? Let’s see. The imam behind a proposed mosque near Ground Zero is a prominent member of a group that helped sponsor the pro-Palestinian activists who clashed violently with Israeli commandos at sea this week. Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf is a key figure in Malaysian-based Perdana Global Peace Organization, according to its Website. Perdana is the single biggest donor ($366,000) so far to the Free Gaza Movement, a key organizer of the six-ship flotilla that tried to break Israel’s blockade...

New Yorkers wondering what the $100-million, fifteen-story mega-mosque at Ground Zero will be like need only cast their eyes north to Boston. There they'll find the giant mosque of the Islamic Society of Boston, which, like the newly-approved Ground Zero mosque, was sold to the public by the politicians as a marvelous, desperately needed home for interfaith healing, and which quickly devolved into a cesspool of hate speech, terrorist affiliations, a lawsuit to shut down the mosque's critics, and a one-stop shop for genuflecting politicians to suck up to Muslims and collect their cash. Yes, for those who followed the...

Bus ads ask 'Leaving Islam?' * From correspondents in New York * From: AP * May 27, 2010 5:51AM THE questions on the ads aren't subtle: Leaving Islam? Fatwa on your head? Is your family threatening you? Ads carrying those phrases are appearing on at least 30 New York City buses, paid for by a conservative activist and the organisations she leads. The activist, Pamela Geller, says the ads are aimed at Muslims who are already contemplating leaving the faith. The Metropolitan Transportation Authority says the ads don't violate any of its guidelines.

Dark Side of Shariah Malcolm A. Kline, May 6, 2010 While American textbooks try to pretty up the history of Islam, in the real world, its less savory contours still emerge, even in countries reputed to be the most tolerant towards those of other faiths. “The days of Christians in Morocco may be numbered,” Olivier Guitta writes on the Global Post. “A wave of so-called ‘proselytizing,’ that has reportedly converted tens of thousands Muslims into Christians, has prompted authorities to clamp down on Christian residents.” “Over the last several weeks, more than 50 Christians from the U.S., the Netherlands and...

The night the NYC car bomb attempt went down, I was so grateful that, once again, the diligence of the public and the swift action of the NYC Police thwarted yet another potential attack. Shortly thereafter, while still incredibly grateful obviously, I became angry. I’ve had it. Firstly, because the current strategy of homeland security seems to be “Hey, guys, we’ve totally unclenched our fists. We can haz cookie now?” Secondly, because the left and their media lackeys are not only dangerously naive, but also purposefully misleading. They are so deeply invested in both political correctness and in their violent, racist...

An American seized in Yemen in a sweep of suspected al-Qaida members had been a laborer at six U.S. nuclear power plants, and authorities are investigating whether he had access to sensitive information or materials that would be useful to terrorists. Sharif Mobley, 26, worked for contractors at plants in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Maryland from 2002 to 2008, mostly hauling materials and setting up scaffolding, plant officials said. Nuclear Regulatory Commission spokesman Neil Sheehan said Friday that investigations are under way into which areas Mobley entered. But he noted that areas containing nuclear fuel are tightly controlled, and that...

But those behind the incident are pleading ignorance. Check out this news from Malaysia: A Malaysian Muslim magazine issued an apology after two of its journalists joined a Catholic service and allegedly desecrated the communion wafer. AFP reported the magazine, Al Islam, published an article describing how they took the wafer and spat it out after entering the church to investigate claims that Muslims were illegally converting to Christianity. "Al Islam magazine apologises ... because the article had unintentionally hurt the feelings of Christians, especially Catholics," it said on its website Utusan Karya. "It is also not the intention of...

Six Faulted Over Fort Hood Military to Discipline Officers for Failing to Report Views of Suspect in Texas Shootings By YOCHI J. DREAZEN The military will formally discipline at least six officers, mostly from Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, for failing to take action against the officer accused of carrying out last year's deadly shooting rampage at Fort Hood, according to people familiar with the matter. Senior Army officials said the decision to punish so many officers reflects the military's belief that the November assault, which killed 13 people at the Army base in central Texas, could have...

Racial tension has been building at Owatonna High School this week after a fight broke out Monday between white and Somali students, prompting heightened police presence, backpack searches and widespread parental worries. Owatonna Police Chief Shaun LaDue said between six and 15 officers have been assigned this week to the school, which usually uses one liaison officer. Principal Don Johnson said the problems began when two white students wrote papers in recent weeks that were "inflammatory and very disrespectful." One student handed out copies of his paper to friends, while the other posted his on a class blog. Both were...

A person was detained by customs at Detroit Metro Airport on Friday following Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab's alleged attack on Northwest Airlines Flight 253, according to a spokesman for U.S. Customs and Border Protection. You let a dude from a Muslim country and no luggage on a U.S.-bound plane with NO passport?! Hellooooo . . .?: While Mutallab was poorly dressed, his friend was dressed in an expensive suit, Haskell said. He says the suited man asked ticket agents whether Mutallab could board without a passport. “The guy said, ‘He’s from Sudan and we do this all the time.’” Mutallab is Nigerian. Haskell believes the man may have been trying to garner sympathy for Mutallab’s lack of documents by portraying him as a Sudanese refugee. The ticket agent referred Mutallab and his companion to...
